This study aims to increase public knowledge about how to analyze the feasibility of rabbit farming using corn fodder in Aimasi Village, Prafi District, Manokwari Regency. This research was carried out from April to May 2022. The data analysis technique used in this study is qualitative analysis by means of research that produces descriptive data, which is stated by verbal information. The variables measured are BEP (Break Even Point), R/C ratio (Revenue Cost Ratio), HPP (Cost of Production), and IOFC (Income Over Feed Cost). The results showed that the unit BEP value was 0,13 the rupiah BEP value was Rp62.648, the R/C was 1,89, the HPP value was Rp375.577 the IOFC value was Rp1.354.200 the conclusion shows that the resulting value is greater than the cost of production, so the rabbit farming analysis using corn fodder as a substitute feed is very feasible.
<p class="Default"><strong>Objective</strong>: The aim of the study was to determine the response of broilers to the use of Kepok banana hump flour as a partial substitute for commercial feed.</p><p class="Default"><strong>Methods</strong>: This study used 256 broiler chickens, with four feed treatments, namely: T<sub>0</sub> = 0; T<sub>1</sub> = 10; T<sub>2 </sub>= 30 and T<sub>3</sub> = 50% Kepok banana hump flour. The experimental cages in the form of boxes consisted of 32 units of cage plots, with a cage density of 8 birds/cage plot. Research variables: feed consumption, body weight, feed conversion ratio, carcass weight, carcass percentage, abdominal fat percentage, digestive tract weight, heart weight, liver weight, ventriculus weight, ammonia excreta and income over feed cost. The data obtained were analyzed according to the design used, namely: Completely Randomized Design, if the treatment was very significantly different, followed by the smallest real-test.</p><p class="Default"><strong>Results</strong>: The results showed that the use of Kepok banana hump flour in commercial feed was very significant (P<0.01) on feed consumption, body weight, feed conversion ratio, carcass weight, carcass percentage, abdominal fat percentage, digestive tract weight, heart, liver, ventriculus, content of ammonia excreta and income over feed cost.</p><p class="Default"><strong>Conclusion</strong>: Kepok banana weevil flour as a partial substitute for commercial basalt feed can be used up to 30% in broilers with the highest Income Over Feed Cost produced by feed containing 10% Kepok banana weevil flour, the addition of Kepok banana weevil flour as a partial substitute for commercial feed can reduce the ammonia excreta of broiler chickens.</p>
Penggunaan antibiotik pada pakan ternak dapat meninggalkan residu sehingga berbahaya bagi kesehatan, oleh karena itu perlu solusi untuk menggantikan penggunaan antibiotik yaitu dengan fitobiotik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian fitobiotik minyak buah merah terhadap berat badan dan komsumsi air minum ayam kampung joper yang diberi fitobiotik nanoenkapsulasi minyak buah merah (Pandanus conoideus) yang diaplikasikan dalam air minum sebagai bahan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas ayam kampung joper. Penelitian ini menggunakan RAL pola searah dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Setiap ulangan terdiri dari 2 ekor sebagai unit percobaan, perlakuan terdiri dari kontrol negatif (P0),1,25% minyak buah merah (P1), 2,5% fitobiotik nanoenkapsulasi minyak buah merah (P2), 3,75% fitobiotik nanoenkapsulasi minyak buah merah (P3), dan 5% fitobiotik nanoenkapsulasi minyak buah merah (P4). Hasil penelitian ini dapat meningkatkan berat badan rata-rata ayam dan konsumi air minum untuk P0, P1, P2, P3 dan P4 berturut-turut 0,700 kg; 0,825 kg; 1,025 kg; 1,125 kg; dan 1,225 kg serta 5,900 ml; 4,880 ml; 5,700 ml; 5,720 ml dan 6,220 ml. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data bahwa penambahan fitobiotik nanoenkapsulasi minyak buah merah 5% (P4) dalam air minum merupakan perlakuan terbaik dilihat dari pertumbuhan bobot badan ayam dan konsumsi air minum. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan minyak buah merah dengan menggunakan teknologi fitobiotik nanoenkapsulasi terbukti dapat meningkatkan produktivitas ayam kampung joper.
