Abstract:Leiomyosarcoma is a rare tumor of esophagus that accounts for 0.5% esophageal sarcomas. This paper presents two cases of leiomyosarcoma of esophagus in 45 years old lady and 52 years old gentleman who presented with dysphagia and they were evaluated to rule out malignancy, but they turned out to be rare leiomyosarcoma which were confirmed by immunohistochemistry. One patient underwent oesophagogastrectomy and other was treated with self-expandable metal stent (SEMS) in view of inoperability. Case presentations, diagnostic modalities and various management options are discussed.

Various methods have been described, among which Veress and open Hasson technique are widely used. Here we describe a novel and hybrid technique of combining open Hasson and direct trocar with several advantages.
A 57-year-old woman was admitted to the intensive care unit with a 15-day history of sore throat, neck pain, upper backache, and fever following the ingestion of a tablet. Initial conservative management did not resolve the symptoms and a contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT) scan of the chest was performed.
