Educators are qualified teaching staff as teachers, lecturers, counselors, tutors, widyaiswara, tutors, instructors, facilitators and other designations that are in accordance with their specialty, and participate in the implementation of education. In accordance with Law No. 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers, professional staff. With different duties and responsibilities between elementary, junior high, high school and lecturers, the workload and work stress that are felt may be different too. NASA-Task Load Index is a method of measuring mental workload subjectively while OHSAS 2010 questionnaire for measuring work stress levels. Data analysis used a correlate person test and ANOVA One Way difference test. From the correlate person test shows the strong correlation between workload and work stress with the correlation of 0.642> r (0.5) between Educators in Batam City. From the ANOVA test, there was a significant difference in mental workload between Educators in the City of Batam with the Sig. is 0.000 <α (0.05). Where the average mental workload for elementary school teachers is 76.98 including the category of heavy mental workload, for junior high school teachers is 67.99 including the category of moderate mental workload, for high school teachers is 66.89 including the category of moderate mental workload and for lecturers is 80.22 including the category of burden heavy mental work. For different tests of work stress, there was a significant difference between Educator Workers in Batam City where Sig. is 0.000 < α (0.05). The average work stress in elementary school teachers is 129.63 (74.08%) in the high category, for junior high school teachers is 104.17 (59.52%) included in the category of moderate work stress, for high school teachers is 109.40 (62.51%) included in the category of moderate work stress and for lecturers is 131.33 (75.05%) included in the category of high work stress.
Kesalahan kerja yang terjadi banyak diakibatkan oleh manusia itu sendiri yang disebut dengan human error. Human error yang sering terjadi dalam kegiatan produksi bisa merugikan perusahaan dalam mewujudkan efektivitas dan efisiensi produksi. Oleh karena itu maka perlu dilakukan perbaikan performansi pekerja untuk mengurangi seringnya terjadi kesalahan kerja. Beberapa metode dalam mengidentifikasi human error diantaranya metode SHERPA dan HEART. SHERPA suatu metode kualitatif dalam menganalisis human error yang menjadikan task level sebagai dasar inputnya. Sedangkan HEART adalah metode dalam menentukan resiko human error yang cepat, sederhana dan gampang dimengerti oleh para engineers dan juga human factors specialists. UKM Yasin merupakan salah satu UKM yang bergerak dalam produksi batu bata di Kota Batam. Proses pembuatan batu bata melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu proses pencetakan, proses pengeringan dan proses pembakaran. Permasalahan yang masih sering terjadi yaitu kesalahan saat melakukan pekerjaan yang berakibat terhadap kecelakaan kerja dan juga berpengaruh terhadap output produksi batu bata, hal ini disebabkan oleh human error. Hasil penelitian untuk rekomendasi yang akan diperlukan untuk mereduksi error pada proses produksi batu bata dengan metode SHERPA yaitu melakukan pemeriksaan secara teliti dan rutin terhadap masing-masing proses dan memberikan pelatihan secara berkala terhadap pekerja. Peluang terjadinya error dalam setiap aktivitas pekerjaan pada produksi batu bata dengan menggunakan metode HEART dimana nilai human error probability yang paling besar yaitu 0.16. Proses yang mungkin terjadinya human error dalam tahapan proses produksi batu bata di UKM Yasin melalui nilai Human Error Probability (HEP) tertinggi yaitu 0.544 yang terdapat pada proses pembakaran batu bata.
Anthropometry is defined as the science of measurement and art in applying human physicalproperties, which is one of the most important factors to consider in designing a product. Productsthat meet ergonomic rules are products that are designed according to the dimensions of the user'sbody. Various factors affect anthropometric data, one of which is ethnicity. Ethnicity is defined as agroup of people identified through ancestral heritage, certain languages and certain cultures.Indonesia has more than 300 different ethnic groups, so it is important to represent anthropometricdata based on ethnicity. Batam City has a heterogeneous community consisting of various tribes andgroups. The dominant tribes include Batak, Javanese, Malay, Minang and Chinese. With the variationin anthropometric size, it is not possible for a design system to adjust to all types of sizes, thereforethere is a need for a database of anthropometric sizes in Indonesia. From the comparative testconducted by Anova testing, all 36 anthropometric with Sig. <α (0.05) which means that there aredifferences in Anthropometric between the five terms. Whereas for differences in AnthropometricBatak and Javanese are 19 same and 17 different, Batak and Malay are 14 same and 22 different,Batak and Minang are 12 same and 24 different, Batak and Chinese are 14 same and 22 different,Java and Malay are 12 same and 24 different, Java and Minang are 12 same and 24 different, Javaand Chinese are 12 same and 24 different, Malay and Minang are 9 same and 27 different, Malay andChinese are 14 same and 22 different, Minang and Chinese are 14 same and 22 different. The resultsof anthropometry obtained based on this research are expected to be a recommendation in thedevelopment of more ergonomic tools for users, especially the people of Indonesia.
Proses loading dan unloading adalah suatu proses yang dilakukan pada saat sebelum dan sesudah proses welding dilakukan. Pada proses ini terjadi aktivitas pengangkatan fixture welding dari meja assembly dibawa ke mesin dan dipasang pada mesin welding. Kemudian setelah proses welding selesai, fixture dilepas kembali dan dibawa ke meja assembly. Proses ini dilakukan oleh dua orang pekerja, karena fixture cukup berat, yaitu sekitar 52 Kg, dengan diameter 40 inchi, dan tebal 2.5 inchi, sedangkan jarak dari meja assembly ke mesin sekitar 300 cm. Berdasarkan penilaian Rapid Entire Body Assesment (REBA) didapatkan nilai skor akhir 9, dan digolongkan sebagai process dengan level resiko tinggi . Kemudian berdasarkan penilaian pada kuisioner Nordic Body Map (NBM) menunjukkan potensi timbulnya rasa sakit pada bagian tengkuk, bahu, lengan, punggung, pinggang dan betis, sehingga aktivitas ini kurang ergonomi bagi pekerja. Dari paparan kondisi diatas, kemudian diadakan survey dengan pendekatan quality function deployment (QFD), bahwasanya dibutuhkan alat bantu angkat untuk mengangkat fixture welding pada saat proses loading dan unloading. Untuk hal itu diusulkan perancangan sebuah alat bantu angkat berupa trolley atau lifter yang bisa menghilangkan kesulitan dan keluhan pekerja.
