A work accident is an undesirable adverse event against a human, damaging property or disadvantage to the process. Data from the ILO in 2013 says that one worker die every 15 seconds due to workplace accidents. This study aims to analyze accidents in welding workers in CV. Cahaya Tiga Putri Kelurahan Sungai Sapih Kecamatan Kuranji Padang in 2017. The research design used was cross-sectional study. This research was conducted at CV. Cahaya Tiga Putri Padang located at Jalan Lolongkaran Sungai Sapih Padang in December to July 2017. The population of this research were welding workers. Samples were taken using total sampling technique, as many as 32 people. Data were analyzed univariat and bivariate with chi-square test. The result of the research shows that 46,9% of respondents have work accident, 53,1% of respondents have unsafe behavior, 53,1% of respondent have unsafe condition, 56,3% respondent have bad knowledge. From the statistical test results known there was a relationship between unsafe acts with work accidents, there was a relationship between unsafe conditions with work accidents and there was a relationship between knowledge with accidents. To reduce the number of occupational accidents, it is expected that workers should always working with using personal protective equipment (PPE), create a safe working environment and for the owner in order to improve worker knowledge by providing training and promotion of occupational health and safetty such as counseling about PPE.Key words : Work Accident, Unsafe Action, Unsafe Condition, Knowledge
Data on the prevalence of Biological Integrated Surveillance and Behavior of the Ministry of Health in 2011 found that the prevalence of HIV and syphilis among prisoners was 3% and 5%. Penitentiary (Lapas) Class IIA Padang is one of the Penitentiary in West Sumatra Province that has HIV / AIDS cases. There are risky behaviors that cause WBP at risk of being infected with HIV/AIDS. This study aims to determine the behavior of prevention of HIV/AIDS transmission in WBP at the Padang II Class IIA Penitentiary in 2018. This type of research is analytical with a cross sectional design. This research was conducted from January - September 2018 Penitentiary Class IIA Padang. The study population numbered 1375 people and the number of samples was 94 people. Sampling is done by simple random sampling technique. Primary data collection is done by interviewing techniques using a questionnaire. Data analysis included univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. The results of the study indicate a relationship between social pressure, and the behavior of prevention of HIV/AIDS transmission in WBP in Padang Class IIA Prison. The results of the study also showed no relationship between age, education, ethnicity. It is recommended that officers from the Penitentiary need to collaborate with relevant stakeholders, such as the Padang City Health Office, to conduct direct monitoring of WBP who are still using narcotics. There needs to be an increase in the socialization of prevention of HIV/AIDS transmission in the Penitentiary Class IIA Padang.Keywords: Characteristics, Social Pressure, Behavior, HIV/AIDS
Hand embroidery worker is one of the forms of informal sectors in Nagari Koto ABSTRAKPerajin sulaman tangan merupakan salah satu bentuk usaha sektor informal di Nagari Koto Gadang Sumatera Barat yang belum menerapkan fasilitas kerja(pamedangan) yang ergonomis dalam bekerja.Terdapat 84% perajin yang mengeluh sakit pinggang selama bekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perbaikan fasilitas kerja untuk mengurangi keluhan muskuloskeletal pada perajin sulamantangan di Nagari Koto Gadang Sumatera Barat. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 36 orang dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 26 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu total sampling, dimana terdapat 10 orang responden yang tidak memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen sungguhan dengan bentuk rancangan Pretest -Postestwith Control Group. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu sikap kerja sebelum intervensi fasilitaskerja berada pada level tindakan tinggi dan sedang. Sesudah intervensi fasilitas kerja,terjadi perbaikan sikap kerja menjadi level tindakan menjadi kecil. Hasil ujiWilcoxon menunjukkan adanya pengaruh perbedaan keluhanmuskuloskeletal pada saat bekerja (p=0,01)pada kelompok perlakuan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi fasilitas kerja. Perajin sulaman tangan disarankan agar dapat menggunakan fasilitas kerjayang telah didesain secara ergonomis, melakukan relaksasi selama bekerja, perlunyamembuat meja kerja (pamedangan) yang adjustable dan penahan lumbar agar dapatmengurangi keluhan muskoloskeletal.Kata Kunci : Fasilitas Kerja, Keluhan Muskoloskeletal PENDAHULUANSetiap pekerjaan selalu mengandung potensi resiko bahaya dalam bentuk kecelakaan kerja dan penyakit akibat kerja. Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease that arises in a person due to an increase in blood glucose levels above normal values. WHO Data (2016) showed the case of diabetes in Indonesia has an increased tendency of 5.7% in 2007 to 6.9% in 2016. This Data also showed that diabetes with complications is the third highest cause of death in Indonesia. Referring to national prevalency, the Province of West Sumatra has total Diabetes Mellitus as much as 1.3% which is in the order of 14 of the 33 provinces in Indonesia. Incidence of diabetes mellitus disease in Padang City is in the sixth order with the amount of 22,523 cases (DKK Padang, 2017). This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the decoction of red betel leaf to decrease blood sugar levels of people with diabetes mellitus. The research design used was Quasy Experimentwith pretests and posttest group. This research conducted in the area of Puskesmas Padang Pasir from April to August 2019. Sampling techniques was purposive sampling with 10 research subjects, 5 people with 100 ml decoction of betel leaf and 5 people are given a 125 ml decoction of betel leaf for three times daily. The results of the average value before and after the intervention of blood sugar levels can be seen a decrease in blood sugar levels of respondents at a dose of 125 ml. In addition, the time of intervention should be more than 7 days for the effectiveness.
The morbidity rate is one indicator to measure the degree of health. In 2015, the morbidity rate for the elderly in Indonesia was 28.62%. However, the percentage of urban elderly morbidity rate of 26.89%. This study aims to determine factors related to the utilization of health services by the elderly in the Public Health Service Area in Koto Tangah District, Padang City. The research design is quantitative with a across sectional study. The population in this study is elderly who are life in the Public Health Service Area in Koto Tangah District. The number of the population is 3901 elderlies aged 60 years. The sample number is 94 elderlies. The results of the research showed 44.7% of the elderly did not utilize health services. 34.0% of the elderly with a lack of knowledge, 12.8% of the elderly do not have health insurance, and 40.4% of the elderly have a lack of perception about illness. The statistical test obtained the knowledge and perception of illnes, p value are 0,000 respectively but health insurance ownership p value is 0,184. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and perception of illness to the utilization of health services. There is no significant relationship between health insurance ownership to utilization of health services.
