Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruh penyalahgunaan narkoba adalah kebiasaan merokok. Risiko terhadap penyalahgunaan narkoba cenderung meningkat pada seseorang yang memiliki kebiasaan merokok dan minum alkohol. NAPZA merupakan singkatan dari Narkotika, Psikotropika dan Bahan Adiktif berbahaya lainnya. Salah satu jenis NAPZA yaitu amphetamine. Amphetamine dapat berupa bubuk putih, kuning, maupun coklat, atau bubuk putih kristal kecil dan dapat juga berbentuk sediaan farmasi (tablet). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara perilaku merokok dengan penggunaan NAPZA jenis amphetamin dari urin mahasiswa perhotelan di Perguruan Tinggi Kota Denpasar Tahun 2019. Perilaku merokok dianalisa dari hasil wawancara menggunakan kuesioner dan kandungan amphetamine dari urin di uji dengan menggunakan metode rapid diagnostic test. Jumlah sampel yang urin yang dianalisa sebanyak 27 mahasiswa perhotelan Perguruan Tinggi di Kota Denpasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, uji statistic Chi-Square diperoleh p-value tidak ada data statistik yang dihasilkan karena penggunanan NAPZA jenis amphetamine konstan. Hal tersebut berarti tidak ada hubungan antara perilaku merokok dengan penggunaan NAPZA jenis amphetamin pada urin mahasiswa perhotelan di Perguruan Tinggi Kota Denpasar Tahun 2019.
Penyakit kecacingan merupakan salah satu penyakit yang paling umum tersebar dan menjangkiti banyak manusia di seluruh dunia. Cacing jarang menimbulkan penyakit serius tetapi dapat menyebabkan gangguan kesehatan kronis yang berhubungan dengan faktor ekonomis. Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) merupakan cacing golongan nematoda usus yang menginfeksi manusia yang menelan telurnya melalui rute fekal oral. Transmisi telur cacing ke manusia bisa terjadi dari tanah yang mengandung telur cacing. Pada kuku yang kotor sering terselip telur cacing. Kebersihan kuku yang tidak diperhatikan menjadi penyebab terjadinya infeksi kecacingan yaitu sebanyak 89.5% disebabkan karena dibawah kuku yang panjang dan kotor terdapat banyak bakteri dan bibit penyakit yang menyebabkan penyebaran infeksi termasuk cacing. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis deskriptif dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 17 anak usia 6-12 tahun. Identifikasi telur cacing Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) pada kuku anak usia 6-12 tahun menggunakan metode apung (flotation method). Penelitian ini memberikan hasil bahwa semua sampel kuku anak usia 6-12 tahun tidak ditemukan adanya telur Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH). Sebagian besar anak usia 6-12 tahun sudah memiliki personal hygiene baik dan cukup. Hasil tersebut diperoleh dari hasil wawancara yang meliputi kebiasaan memotong kuku, mencuci tangan dengan menggunakan sabun sebelum dan setelah makan serta bermain dan menggunakan alas kaki. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi telur cacing pada seluruh sampel kuku anak usia 6-12 tahun diperoleh hasil negatif tidak ditemukan adanya telur Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH).
Penyakit Diabetes melitus adalah penyakit metabolic dan merupakan penyakit kronis yang angka kejadiannya terus mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya di seluruh dunia. Pengelolaan diabetes merupakan poin penting untuk keberlangsungan hidup pasien DM. upaya penanggulangan penyakit ini perlu dilakukan melalui manajemen yang tepat. Penyakit ini menimbulkan berbagai komplikasi dan yang paling sering terjadi adalah kaki diabetic. Dalam upaya mencegah kejadian kaki diabetic ini, perawatan kaki juga merupakan bagian yang sangat penting yang harus dilakukan oleh pasien untuk memastikan kebersihan dan Kesehatan kaki tetap terjaga sehingga kejadian kaki diabetic bisa dicegah. Terdapat empat pilar pengelolaan diabetes yang dapat dilakukan meliputi diet, Latihan fisik, obat-obatan dan edukasi. Melalui upaya pengelolaan diabetes yang tepat, komplikasi diabetes dapat dicegah, gula darah menjadi stabil dan kualitas hidup pasien dapat ditingkatkan. Tahapan pertama dalam pengabdian masyarakat melakukan pengukuran gula darah sewaktu pada pasien DM tipe 2, tahap kedua memberikan penyuluhan tentang pengelolaan diabetes dan perawatan kaki diabetik. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan manfaat kepada pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan pengelolaan diabetes pasien DM tipe 2.
Anemia pada remaja berdampak buruk terhadap penurunan imunitas, konsentrasi, prestasi belajar, kebugaran remaja dan produktifitas. Anemia yang dialami remaja putri akan berdampak lebih serius karena dapat meningkatkan risiko kematian ibu melahirkan, bayi lahir prematur dan berat bayi lahir rendah (BBLR). Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja terkait anemia terutama tentang pencegahan anemia pada remaja di SMK Kesehatan Sanjiwani Gianyar. Metode yang dipilih adalah pemberian edukasi terstruktur tentang anemia pada remaja. Kegiatan yang dilakukan diikuti oleh 110 orang yang terdiri dari 101 orang perempuan (91.82%) dan 9 orang laki-laki (8.18%). Sebelum diberikan edukasi, 73 orang (66.36%) memiliki pengetahuan baik, 31 orang (28.18%) memiliki pengetahuan cukup dan 6 orang (5.45%) memiliki pengetahuan kurang. Setelah diberikan edukasi, 97 orang (88.18%) memiliki pengetahuan baik, 13 orang (11.82%) memiliki pengetahuan cukup dan tidak ada partisipan yang memiliki pengetahuan kurang. Pemberian edukasi sangat penting untuk meningkatkan persepsi positif dan motivasi remaja dalam mencegah anemia.
