The purpose of the study was to investigate the EFL teachers’ perceptions concerning the textbook of “Think Globally Act Locally” on these criteria: (1) physical and utilitarian attributes, (2) efficient outlay of objectives and supplementary material, (3) learning- teaching content, (4) language skills and aspects. Thirty two EFL teachers of junior high school participated in this study. The instrument consisted of questionnaire and interview. Results indicated that in physical and utilitarian attributes, this textbook was perceived as ‘Good’, in efficient outlay and supplementary materials was perceived as ‘Fair’, in learning-teaching content was perceived as ‘Fair’, and in language skills and aspects was perceived as ‘Fair’. Overall, this textbook was perceived as ‘Fair’. It still needs improvement in several aspects. The illustrations should be more natural. The mistakes in this textbook should be corrected. Teaching aids like audio materials (cassette/CD), posters, and flashcards, need to accompany this textbook. The exercises should be varied. New word list and glossary should be provided to support vocabulary building and reading skill. Finally, authentic audio material like cassette/CD and phonetic transcriptions for each new word should be available for listening and pronunciation practice.
BPRS Bhakti Sumekar Sumenep. Kedua: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Biaya Operasional Terhadap Pendapatan Operasional (BOPO), Return on Asset (ROA) dan Net Interest Margin (NIM) secara parsial terhadap Financial To Deposit Ratio (FDR) pada PT. BPRS Bhakti Sumekar Sumenep.
This research development aims were to create and determine validity and practicality categories of buffer solution module based on guided inquiry equipped with HOTS type problems. This research was a Research and Development with Plomp development model. Instrument used was module validity and practicality questionnaire. Module was validated by 5 validators. Practicality was determined by providing a questionnaire to 2 chemistry teachers and 51 students of class XII MIPA SMAN 8 Padang. The data obtained were analysed with the Kappa Cohen formula. The result of the research obtained average kappa moment value validity (0,90), average kappa moment value practicality of teacher response (0,93) and the practicality of student response (0,84). This result showed that the module which has been developed was very valid and practical to used in learning
This study aims to analyze the effect of motivation on lecturer performance at the Institute of Social and Political Sciences (IISIP), Yapis Biak. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires and conducting interviews involving all permanent lecturers who are active in the Yapis Biak Institute of Social and Political Sciences. The population in this study were 43 people. The data collection method used is a questionnaire. The research approach used is a qualitative approach and the data testing techniques used in this study are multiple linear regression analysis to prove the research hypothesis. The results of the study based on statistical tests, the results of multiple linear regression showed that motivation influenced the performance of lecturers at the Yapis Biak Institute of Social and Political Sciences with a regression coefficient of 0.808.
An understanding of the concepts and principles of open sets can be done through activities in the form of mathematical actions, processes, objects organized in a scheme. This was the operationalization of the APOS theory (Action, Processes, Objects, and Schema). The purpose of this study was to describe students’ mistakes in understanding the properties of open sets in terms of the APOS Theory. This research was part of development research. It was the stage need assessment stage. We want to determine the characteristics of students to determine the right learning model. The subject of this study were 15 students of mathematics education at the University of Bengkulu. Students were selected based on the tasks that they do in learning Real Analysis. Data was collected from paper and pencil results and task-based interview results. Data were analyzed qualitatively using fixed comparison techniques. The results of this study were that students can only coordinate two or more sets, and the difficulty of proving a set theorem closes. One such theorem was “F was a subset of R, F closed sets if and only if F contains all the cluster points”. He can only take actions separately from the characteristics of the set given. The conclusion of this study was the difficulty of students in understanding the properties of the closed sets was the inability of students to carry out interiorization from actions to processes. Also, it was not able to encapsulate processes into objects. He was unable to reach the scheme of the properties of closed sets.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
