Os Sistemas de Informação na Gestão de Recursos Humanos permitem, para além da redução de custos e tempos de processamento de informação, um melhor planeamento, organização e controlo, proporcionando aos seus utilizadores informação relevante e oportuna para a tomada de decisão e reduzindo a probabilidade de existência de falhas no exercício das suas funções.O grande desafio da aplicabilidade dos Sistemas de Informação está relacionado com a sua adaptação às necessidades e exigências das organizações, tendo em conta os seus objetivos, princípios, políticas e estratégias. Como não existem Sistemas de Informação padronizados que sirvam os interesses de todas as organizações e processos de recursos humanos, torna-se necessário encontrar a melhor forma de identificação do Sistema de Informação mais adequado a cada realidade.Assim, para conseguir uma maior vantagem na utilização de Sistemas de Informação na área da Gestão de Recursos Humanos é necessário que seja efetuada uma eficiente e eficaz avaliação do sistema a implementar ou implementado, tendo em conta os objetivos para o qual será utilizado, as suas características e requisitos mínimos necessários, de forma a colmatar as carências dos processos e formas de organização. A avaliação rigorosa de todos os componentes vai permitir à gestão dos recursos humanos alcançar o seu potencial máximo e, consequentemente, auxiliar a organização a concretizar os objetivos macro, com vantagem competitiva.A avaliação de Sistemas de Informação apresenta diferentes variáveis que devem ser consideradas. Neste artigo será apresentada uma metodologia de avaliação de sistemas de informação na ótica da Gestão de Recursos Humanos, com base nas normas ISO/IEC 9126 e ISO 14598, de forma a demonstrar como se pode desenvolver um método de avaliação adequado à natureza do sistema, objetivos e momento de avaliação.
