The article is concerned with neologisms of non-professional English language medical discourse, devoted to the social and psychological consequences of the coronavirus pandemic. It analyzes the reflection in the new medical vocabulary of such social realities created by the pandemic as observance, violation and easing of the quarantine regulations; creation of a strategy of public behavior aimed at containing the pandemic growth; growth of mood of panic and conspiracy theories; and the stigmatization of patients with coronavirus. This layer of everyday and colloquial medical vocabulary is considered from the standpoint of semantic, stylistic, linguopragmatic and axiological analysis, revealing the pragmatic potential of new words and expressions reflecting the pandemic impact on public consciousness. In particular, the humorous, ironic, satirical plans of this new medical vocabulary are considered, serving the purpose of creating a new value system aimed at overcoming the consequences of the pandemic through psychological compensation. The links between nonprofessional medical and political discourses are also identified, reflecting the extreme politicization of modern media, which affects the reality perception by common participants in the discourse. The combination of these vocabulary items provides a comprehensive picture of the specifics of public life in mass psychology during the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. The study material is the articles of the Urban Dictionary online dictionary of Internet slang devoted to various aspects of the coronavirus pandemic impact on public and private life. Based on the analysis of this constantly updated material, we deduce the regularities of the attitude evolution towards the coronavirus pandemic of a significant part of the international community.

В статье рассмотрены подходы к понятию «туристический дискурс», а также на основе анализа семантики неологизмов предложена классификация туристической деятельности. The paper studies the approaches to the concept of "tourist discourse", and also, based on the analysis of the semantics of neologisms, a classification of tourist activities is proposed.
The article deals with the nominations of the recreational tourismtypes. The authors analyze the specifics of this vocabulary layerin the tourist discourse;categorize neologisms according to the classification of recreational resources. Based on the nominations of recreational tourismtypes, the relationships between the tourist discourse and gastronomic, economic and sports discourses are revealed. Additionally, the change in the worldview and the axiological priorities of modern tourists, identified in the analysis of the nominations for recreational tourism, are also considered.
The article examines the vocabulary of the coronavirus pandemic as a reflection of the evolution of society. The relevance of the topic of the article is due to the continuous expansion of the lexical field reflecting the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the development of mankind. The aim of the study is to identify the specifics of the representation of the evolution of society in the language through a comprehensive analysis of the neologisms of the coronavirus pandemic. The study of the vocabulary of the coronavirus pandemic allows us to trace the vectors of socio-cultural transformations in both synchronic and diachronic aspects – the tasks of this work include both the analysis of the collision of opposing trends in the perception of the pandemic and the identification of changes in the perception of the “coronavirus era” by society. The research material is a sample of neologisms of the coronavirus pandemic recorded in the network space. The research methods were semantic, contextual, linguistic and axiological, sociological analyses, which allow considering both psycholinguistic and extralinguistic factors in creating the vocabulary of the coronavirus pandemic. The analysis of the vocabulary of the coronavirus pandemic revealed the multidimensionality of the impact of the pandemic on the development of society – the variability of the vocabulary of the coronavirus pandemic is explained by the significant evolutionary potential of the pandemic’s impact on most aspects of public and private life of mankind during the fight against the spread of coronavirus.
The article studies the linguocultural aspect of the emergence of the coronavirus pandemic neologisms. The similarities and differences between the English and Russian vocabulary of the coronavirus pandemic, generated by the specifics of the cultural code of intercultural communication participants, are analyzed. The relevance of the study is ensured by the continuous expansion of the coronavirus pandemic vocabulary, the permanent interest of linguists in the most popular part of the neological discourse of the English and Russian languages, the need for a scientific interpretation of collective experience reflected in the coronavirus pandemic vocabulary. The objective of the article is a linguistic and cultural analysis of the English and Russian coronavirus pandemic vocabulary to identify the peculiarities of the mindset of these neologisms’ creators in the definitions and contextual field of the given examples. The material of the study is the lexical units used in the speech of the inhabitants of the English-speaking (Great Britain, Ireland, the USA, Canada, Australia, India, South Africa) and the Russian-speaking areas recorded on the Internet. The fundamental research method is linguoculturological analysis supplemented by stylistic, semantic-axiological, comparative and componential analyzes. The role of the borrowing factor in compiling the corpus of the coronavirus pandemic vocabulary is also investigated. The regional specifics of lexical units that reflect the consequences of the spread of the disease is revealed. In particular, the article considers the specificity of the reflection of the emergence of new values on the stylistic layer of these neologisms in both Russian and English speeches.
