No passado, os Terena chegaram a ser submetidos pelos invasores portugueses e espanhóis e por outras etnias. Talvez, por isso, encontra-se nos livros que, para manterem a própria sobrevivência, aceitavam, com relativa facilidade, as regras do dominador.É cabível apontar aqui alguns questionamentos que ao longo deste trabalho serão estudados: a perda da liberdade e a aceitação das imposições do outro povo são ou não fatores decisivos para a perda da identidade cultural? Qual seria, nos dias atuais, a potencialidade de resistir culturalmente? Se esta resistência for possível, como poderia ser apreendida?No livro "Os índios e nós: estudos sobre sociedades tribais brasileiras", Seeger (1980) destacou uma situação interessante sobre os índios idosos: "A posição dos velhos é uma das muitas características das sociedades indígenas brasileiras sobre as quais praticamente não dispomos de dados etnográficos." (p.78).Apesar desta dificuldade, achei importante justamente analisar esta faixa etária, porque, no caso da memória social e da tradição indígena, através dos idosos, é possível visualizar, com mais clareza, estes aspectos.Fernandes Júnior (1997) realizou, no seu trabalho, entrevistas com índios Terena. É interessante observar que, segundo sua interpretação, a tradição indígena e a memória social estão comprometidas, a exemplo do que mostra a entrevista realizada com C. Francelino, 66 anos, ex-cacique de uma aldeia e residente no Bairro Marçal de Souza, na qual o velho índio colocou que: Existem inúmeras coisas do idioma que até a minha geração sabe, mas os jovens de 16 e 17 anos não tem conhecimento, já estão mais difíceis. (...) Agora até mesmo a minha geração não tem conhecimento de algumas palavras usadas pelos nossos antepassados. (...) Acredito que todos devem se esforçar para que nosso povo possa conservar a tradição da língua materna. (p. 84).Referente a isto, Alfredo Bosi (1987) fez uma importante colocação: "As sociedades que se esquecem do seu passado, mesmo do seu passado recente, vagarão e errarão estupidamente sem encontrar a porta de saída que é a reflexão sobre o passado." (p.54). Ecléa Bosi (1995) complementou ao relacionar o idoso com a tradição:
Este artigo trata da internacionalização de estudos usada como estratégia educacional de famílias de classes médias intelectualizadas de Campo Grande-MS. O objetivo é compreender se essas famílias buscam uma formação intelectual internacional. A teoria remete a Bourdieu e interlocutores, foi feita revisão bibliográfica, aplicação de entrevistas semiestruturadas com docentes universitários e seus filhos, que fizeram intercâmbio internacional, estudaram em escola bilíngue ou em cursos livres de línguas. Os resultados mostraram que a internacionalização de estudos é considerada uma estratégia educacional e na análise identificou-se que ela traz vantagens a quem pode ter acesso o maior desafio é fazer com que possa ser utilizada por toda a população brasileira, sem que haja distinções. Abstract:This article deals with the internationalization of studies used as an educational strategy for intellectualized middle classes families in Campo Grande-MS. The aim is to understand if these families seek an international intellectual formation. The theory refers to Bourdieu, a bibliographical review was carried out, the application of semi-structured interviews with university professors and their children, who made international exchange, studied in bilingual school or in language-free courses. The results showed that the internationalization of studies is considered an educational strategy and in the analysis it was identified that it brings advantages to those who can have access, the biggest challenge is to make it be used by the entire Brazilian population. Resumen: Este artículo trata de la internacionalización de estudios usada como estrategia educativa de familias de clases medias intelectualizadas de Campo Grande-MS. El objetivo es comprender si esas familias buscan una formación internacional. La teoría remite a Bourdieu, se realizó una revisión bibliográfica, aplicación de entrevistas semiestructuradas con docentes universitarios y sus hijos, que hicieron intercambio internacional, estudiaron en escuela bilingüe o en cursos libres de lenguas. Los resultados mostraron que la internacionalización de estudios es considerada una estrategia educativa y en el análisis se identificó que ella trae ventajas a quien puede tener acceso, el mayor desafío es hacer que pueda ser utilizada por toda la población brasileña.
