Abstract— The present study aims to investigate the efficacy of the Blended learning or Hybrid learning. It also explores the practical challenges and suggests strategies to implement in the actual classroom. Additionally, the study throws light on the advantages and disadvantages of online pedagogy following qualitative method based on interview method of individuals using or utilized Blended learning in the classroom. The interview was conducted through sending emails and the response was recorded and received. The responses of participants were thoroughly evaluated, analyzed and discussed in detail. The article significantly helps in implementation of Blended learning in classroom pedagogy and allows offering a broad view of how the amalgamation of online teaching is possible in an effective way. It also explores pedagogical concerns of actual classroom situations using Blended learning or relying on online teaching. Learning outcomes depends on how well the approach, method, and technique is used or implemented followed by formative and summative assessments. The study highlights the use of blended learning and difference of relying on online teaching. It is important for the stake holders to realize that here is no escape but to find effective way which can ultimately deliver the expected learning outcomes. As the English language is accepted globally, it becomes a challenge for the teachers to learn the new theories and practices and get updated as per the requirements and needs of the learners. It is very necessary to know the needs of the learners in order to help them or push them towards learning. Knowing your learners’ needs means half of the work has been done, the only thing the teacher has to do is to select the methods and apply the appropriate strategies in the classrooms. The existing practice of teaching English in the classroom does not offer much to the students to practice receptive and productive skills in real-life situations. The present study focus on developing language skills by using different strategies and activities in real-life classroom situation to enhance the language skills of the learners. The study uses a quantitative method to collect data from the respondents through a questionnaire developed by the researcher. The questionnaire was based on a five-point Likert scale and the reliability and validity were tested through SPSS version 20. The Cronbach alpha was tested and the results were satisfactory. The findings of the study clearly show that if the strategies and method of pedagogy in the classroom will be changed to more learners-centred and activity-based, the learning outcomes will be better and language skills were enhanced.
A child’s educational achievements are based on multiple factors, including their family, their family’s behavior, socioeconomic status, their behavior toward their parents, etc. The main objective of the study is to establish the relationship between the socioeconomic background of the children and their educational achievements and how it impacts their psychology. A descriptive survey research design was used to conduct this study. The target population was 50 students and either of their parents. The target was selected through random sampling. Focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, and different types of observation techniques were implied while collecting the data. The study concluded that most of the students with low socioeconomic status had poor achievements in their academics, which led them into the labor market at an early age. It has been found that parents with low socioeconomic backgrounds were less interested in educating their children. Kids from low socioeconomic backgrounds are more focused on employment instead of pursuing their studies after completing their secondary education. Such students end up in unskilled or blue-collar jobs. This study recommends free-of-cost vocational and technical education to such children to provide them with better livelihood opportunities. There is a need for parental education and awareness programs as well conducted by schools/universities and other concerned authorities.
Aim. The present study intends to explore how process drama can be effectively used and implemented in Indian classrooms. It further highlights the aspects of the conventional classrooms and discusses why Indian students are lacking in productive skills of the English language and how it can be diagnosed through using the theory and practice of process drama as an instructional method. Concepts/Methods. Data collection method through a questionnaire has been used in the study and SPSS version 20 is implemented to observe, analyze, and comprehend the data. Reliability and validity have been checked through a pilot study before using the questionnaire and the suggestions of an expert and responded were incorporated. Research Restrictions. The present study is limited to the Indian classrooms and especially the respondents were purposively chosen from undergraduate classrooms of different faculties. So it cannot be implemented thoroughly but the praxis of using process drama can be a potent strategy to teach English in ESL classrooms according to the level, background and nature of the learners. Practical Application. The findings of the study clearly indicate that the use of process drama in classroom pedagogy has a positive impact on receptive and productive skills of language. Cognitive value. The modern classroom pedagogy needs an approach of teaching which can foster the learning process easier and emphasize all four skills in an effective way.
The phenomenon of incompetence as an interdisciplinary subject requires multiple analyses embracing various spheres of life, and scientists whose knowledge is limited to only one discipline may face difficulties in capturing the core of the issue. This article is based on a meta-reflection inspired by the discourse revealed in post-humanist and post-pandemic reality. Its aim is to define sources of irrationality, areas of ignorance and, above all, levels of incompetence to reveal the primary categories. One of the problems standing in the way of development is a lack of interest, which leads to ignorance. A limited number of experiences and stimuli different from those in our everyday lives can lead us to a perception of the world solely from our own perspective. In the political sphere, cooperation between the authorities and specialists for the good of the community is crucial. The greed for power and money is fatal, causing numerous abuses, scientific knowledge becomes “inconvenient”, so it is easier to ignore it. A lack of unanimity among researchers and a divergence of views, cause the people who are not fully aware of how science works to begin to doubt it, which increases the obstinacy of their own views. It is impossible not to question and to systematize knowledge completely; the problem arises at the level of the dissemination of knowledge. Moreover, emotions and the phenomenon of resentment play one of the key roles in rationality, and controlling them and continuing education can reduce the phenomenon of incompetence.
