W artykule omówiono wyniki badań autorskich dotyczących internetowej aktywności gospodarczej dolnośląskich spółdzielni socjalnych i porównano je z wynikami analiz wykonanych dla sektora małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw.
Summary:This article is an attempt to show an impact of copy culture on the economic dimension of the market exchange of information goods. Copy culture is an important social aspect, which is reflected in the activities of Internet users. The scale of this phenomenon does not allow to ignore it, especially in the context of economic profitability of the copyright holders. The article espouses the hypothesis that unauthorized copying over the Internet is characterized by a high degree of social acceptance. The purpose of this article is to show the legitimacy of such a hypothesis by the retrospective analysis of copying practices and considerations of contemporary examples.
Motivation: The gnoseological sense of a new paradigm, apart from the methodological and sociological sense, includes its the deepest essence. It is expressed in a process of forming and popularization of a paradigm. It includes essential factors of a particular paradigm which are reflected by its general sense. Revealing the essence of the gnoseological sense enables to reveal the main factors from the essential ones, which have been applied unintentionally. The same applies to new institutional economics when it is used without scientific reflection. An idea of revealing the essence of its (of the institutional economics) gnoseological sense is to reveal aspects of the individualism and the holism hidden in it. Aim: Goal of this paper is to reveal the essence of the outline of the gnoseological sense of the paradigm of the new institutional economics. Results: Result of the study is presentation of relations between the individualism and the holism in the paradigm of the new institutional economics. The main conclusion is that the paradigm of the economics sui generis is not homogeneous, similarly to the social sciences. The new institutional economics derives a holistic perspective from the sociology, and individualistic one from the neoclassical economics. Consequently the new institutional economics is based on contradictory foundations (it is of dual nature); this becomes clear at a detailed level of considerations concerning its paradigm.
The aim of this article was to find out how the cognitive dissonance resulting from the occurrence of institutional incongruence in the context of copying information goods in online society is reduced. The implementation of this goal required conceptualization work and empirical research. The conceptual part was based on the theory of cognitive dissonance by Festinger as well as works on the concept of institutional congruence. The essence of the conceptualization work was the formulation of the concept of institutional incongruence, which leads to a cognitive dissonance that requires reduction. The empirical research conducted on Polish internet users in August 2020 was designed to allow to determine whether there is an institutional incongruence in the area of copying information goods, and how the possible dissonance resulting from such incongruence is reduced. A survey study conducted on a random sample of 1000 respondents (with a standard error of 3%). The survey took the form of a questionnaire distributed among respondents via the Badanie‐Opinii.pl research panel, property of the Biostat Research and Development Centre. Empirical research has shown that institutional incongruence is largely imaginary (a kind of cognitive bias). In the context of dissonance reduction, there were found several forms of it: (1) the downplaying of the phenomenon of unauthorized copying, (2) an attitude that completely ignores the problem of unauthorized copying, and (3) an attitude that assumes that any form of unauthorized copying is simply “piracy.”
