The problem of the gauge dependence of the zero gauge field component condensate, A,=const, is investigated in finite temperature SU(3) gluodynamics. The two-loop effective action W ( A o , f ) is recalculated in the background R gauge. The obtained result somewhat differs from that of other authors. By straightforward calculation it is shown that the two-loop effective action W ( A o , 0 satisfies the generalized Nielsen (Ward-type) identity and has a nontrivial minimum. Hence, gauge invariance of the gluon condensation phenomenon is derived. A comparison with Belyaev's method and results are also discussed.PACS numbeds): 12.38.Mh, 12.38.B~
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
