Self-management is a form of self-regulation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) on the Improvement of Self-Management and Quality of Life in Type II Diabetes Millitus Patients. This research method is True-Experiment Pre-Test and Post-Test design. DSMQ and WHOQOL instruments. Independent Variable (DSME) Dependent variable Self-management and quality of life. The subjects of the control group were 55 people and the intervention group was 55 people. Wilcoxon data analysis, Maan-Whitney and Path Analysis. The results of the comparison of self-management between the intervention group and the control group, a significance value of 0.000 less than 0.05 (p <0.05), indicating that the group given effective intervention significantly improved self-management compared to the group that was not given the intervention. The results of the comparison of the quality of life of the intervention group and the control group, the significance value of 0.000 less than 0.05 (p <0.05) indicates that the group given the intervention was more effective in improving the quality of life significantly than the group that was not given the intervention. There is an effect of Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) on the Improvement of Self-Management and Quality of Life for Type II Diabetes Millitus Patients in the Work Area of the Kempo Health Center, Kempo District. DSME is a process to facilitate knowledge, skills and abilities in self-care (Self-Management) and quality of life
Background : People with HIV / AIDS need support from the surrounding community, but in reality the opposite is the community's stigma of people with HIV / AIDS is still negative, this has the effect of being isolated from the surrounding community so that the quality of life of people with HIV / AIDS is not optimal. Purpose : The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that affect the quality of life of people with HIV / AIDS. Methodhs : The design of this study was analytic with cross sectional approach, the population was 427 respondents, the sample size was calculated using the Slovin formula as many as 78 respondents, the type of sampling used was side probabilities with systematic random sampling technique. Results : The results of this study were tested using an ordinal regression test, and the results showed that the significance value of the effect of adherence to ARV consumption on the quality of life of PLWHA was 0.223, nutritional status significance value 0.498 and social support significance value 0.000. So of the three independent variables studied, the effect was only the social support variable because the significance value was below 0.05. Conclusion : factors that affect the quality of life of PLWHA are social support factors
The rampant caries is interacting multifactorial disease occurs very quickly, and concerns multiple teeth, and often cause pain. Conditions of caries in children due to unfamiliarity of parents, against the main cause of dental caries. . Caries in the deciduous tooth caused by exposure of teeth by sweet liquids, in the long term. This study aims to analyze the relationship between mother’s knowledge, mother’s motivation about dental health and consumption patterns of formula milk using a bottle nipples with incidence rampant caries. The research method was analytic observational, with the cross-sectional design. The population of this study are mothers and their children is 538 people. A sampel of 229 people used proportional random sampling technique. Statistic test used is multiple linear regression. The research results show that mother’s knowledge, mother’s motivation, and consumption patterns formula milk using a bottle nipples has a significant relationship both partially and simultaneously the significance level of caries grade was less than 0,05(p<0,05). Regression models that can be formed are y (incidence of rampant caries) = 4,577 – 0,785 mother’s knowledge – 0,345 mother’s motivation + 0,223 comsumption pattern. Increased knowledge and motivation of mothers and decreased consumption patterns of milk using bottles will have an effect on reducing the incidence of rampant caries.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
