ResumoObjetivo do estudo: O presente estudo teve como objetivo verificar quais são os indicadores financeiros mais evidenciados nos estudos que analisam os clubes de futebol. Portanto, adotou-se a revisão sistemática com a metodologia PRISMA, efetivada nas bases Scopus e Web of Science. Metodologia/abordagem: De caráter descritivo, a pesquisa se efetivou, através de revisão sistemática onde foi definida uma string de busca (palavras-chaves): ("soccer" OR "football clubs") AND ("financial performance" OR "economic performance" OR "financial" OR "financial indicator*"), e foram encontrados 151 trabalhos que, após selecionados, resultaram em 16 artigos a serem investigados. A partir disso, foi descrito o perfil das publicações, identificando objetivos, procedimentos metodológicos e principais resultados. Originalidade/Relevância: A revisão sistemática aplicada nas pesquisas que analisam os clubes de futebol poderá servir de base para futuros estudos, constituindo-se como um respaldo para novos progressos, além de propor um arcabouço com métricas de desempenho econômico e financeiro. Principais resultados: O ano de 2019 foi o período com maior número de trabalhos, sendo 6 artigos publicados. Tratando-se das revistas onde estes trabalhos foram publicados, destaca-se a PODIUM Sport, Leisure and Tourism Review com 4 trabalhos e a Revista Evidenciação Contábil & Finanças com 2 trabalhos. Dentre os achados, foi elaborado um rol com 48 indicadores, sendo o ROA como métricas mais recorrentes nos estudos, seguindo pela Liquidez Corrente presente em oito trabalhos. Em terceiro lugar, Liquidez Imediata e o ROE apareceram em cinco estudos cada. Contribuições teóricas/metodológicas: Esta pesquisa agrega a literatura ao evidenciar os índices mais utilizados nos estudos científicos, podendo servir de base para novos estudos.
