A new imino-N-heterocyclic carbene ligand precursor [1-(2,4,6bromide has been synthesised and structurally characterised. The silver(was readily prepared by reaction with Ag 2 O. Transfer of the ligand from silver() to palladium() and rhodium() by reaction with [PdCl 2 (MeCN) 2 ] and [Rh(cod)(THF) 2 ][BF 4 ] led to the tautomerisation of the imine moiety to the enamine affording the structurally characterised complex [PdCl 2 (C ∧ enamine)] and [Rh(cod)(C ∧ enamine)][BF 4 ] respectively, where (C ∧ enamine) = 1-(2,4,6-Me 3 C 6 H 2 )imidazol-2-ylidene-3-{CH᎐ ᎐ C(t-Bu)NH(i-Pr)}.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
