As plantas medicinais constituem uma fonte primária de recursos naturais, utilizadas no tratamento de afecções pela população de comunidades ribeirinhas localizadas na Amazônia brasileira. Dessa forma, objetivou-se fazer um levantamento etnobotânico das plantas medicinais aromáticas, bem como, as indicações, as partes das plantas mais utilizadas, os modos de preparo dos remédios caseiros e verificar os valores de concordância de uso principal das espécies utilizadas pelos moradores de cinco comunidades rurais localizadas na região do Baixo Tocantins, Pará, Brasil. A seleção dos colaboradores se deu através da metodologia “bola de neve”. Nessa pesquisa foram entrevistados 78 participantes na faixa etária de 35 a 82 anos, com predomínio do gênero feminino, e as plantas com predomínio de uso foram erva cidreira, comida de jabuti e priprioca. No total foram coletadas e identificadas 29 espécies, incluídas em 23 gêneros e 11 famílias, sendo Lamiaceae a mais representativa. Nessas comunidades as plantas medicinais aromáticas, além de tratar doenças, fazem parte da cultura, dos costumes e fortalecem as relações sociais e de convivência.
Levantamentos etnobotânicos de plantas medicinais com potencial para sarar ferimentos de pele podem ser uma alternativa no auxílio desses cuidados ou acelerar o processo de cura e para indústria farmacêutica são importantes na escolha de espécies para investir em testes laboratoriais. Nesse contexto, a pesquisa visou fazer um levantamento etnobotânico de plantas medicinais usadas pelos moradores de duas comunidades rurais da Amazônia brasileira para o tratamento de ferimentos cutâneos, além de registrar as indicações, usos e as formas de preparo das formulações caseiras. Adotou-se a bola de neve como metodologia para selecionar os colaboradores e técnicas de etnobotânica para coleta dos dados. A importância de cada espécie foi determinada calculando a frequência relativa de citação (RFC). No total participaram 17 colaboradores e foi registrado o conhecimento sobre 16 etnoespécies usadas no processo de cicatrização de feridas de pele. Os maiores de valores da CRF registrados foram para as espécies de andiroba (Carapa guianensis Aubl.), copaíba de planta (Escobedia sp.) e malvarisco (Piper umbellatum L.). Dessa foram, destaca-se que as plantas medicinais usadas nessas comunidades contribuem para melhorar a qualidade de vida e são importantes para o tratamento de ferimentos de pele.
o estudo foi realizado na Comunidade de Nossa Senhora do Livramento, no Município de Acará, Pará. Teve como objetivo fazer o levantamento etnobotânico das plantas medicinais utilizadas pelos moradores da comunidade Nossa Senhora do Livramento. As colaboradoras foram selecionadas por uma abordagem não probabilística “bola de neve” e para a coleta dos dados aplicou-se um questionário semiestruturado. O estudo contou com 12 participantes do gênero feminino, entre 40 e 74 anos de idade. O chá das folhas foi a principal forma de preparo dos remédios caseiros e as espécies Óleo elétrico, Barbatimão e Comida de jabuti apresentaram os maiores valores concordância de uso principal.
