En el presente estudio se evaluaron las actividades antioxidante, antiinflamatoria e inmunomoduladora del extracto clorofórmico de las hojas de Chuquiraga lessing “huamanpinta” y se realizó la identificación de metabolitos secundarios y elucidación estructural de flavonoides, se evaluó la actividad antioxidante mediante el método del difenilpicrilhidrazilo (DPPH) y se midió la actividad de enzimas antioxidantes como superóxido dismutasa (SOD), catalasa (CAT) y malondialdehido (MDA). Para analizar la actividad antiinflamatoria se empleó el método del edema subplantar según Winter; y para la actividad inmunomoduladora el método de velocidad de aclaramiento de la tinta china. Se identificaron flavonoides, triterpenos, esteroides, alcaloides, taninos, compuestos fenólicos, lactonas sesquiterpénicas. Por análisis espectroscópico UV se elucidaron los flavonoides: 5,6,7-trihidroxi-4’-metoxiflavona; 3’,5,6,7-tetrahidroxi-4’-metoxiflavanona; 4’,5,7,8-tetrahidroxiflavona y 5,7,8-trihidroxi-4’-metoxiflavona. La actividad antioxidante in vitro de 86,4% (300 μg/mL) e in vivo aumentan la actividad de las enzimas antioxidantes CAT (2146,8 UI/mL sangre), SOD (10,12 UI/mL sangre) y reduce la lipoperoxidación como MDA (3,6 μmol/mL sangre) a 300 mg/kg de peso. La mayor actividad antiinflamatoria del extracto fue a 300 mg/kg (39,1%) y la actividad inmunomoduladora fue a 200 mg/kg (48,23%). Se concluye que el extracto clorofórmico presenta actividad antioxidante, antiinflamatoria e inmunomoduladora.
