Nosso intuito neste artigo é apresentar as análises de Foucault referentes à formação da sociedade disciplinar, no sentido de favorecer o entendimento do funcionamento das suas formas de vigilância e punição em nossa sociedade, sendo o foco principal, a escola e suas relações de controle e vigilância. A pesquisa bibliográfica, ora realizada, tem como referencial teórico Michel Foucault e outros autores que avaliam a questão do poder disciplinar na formação da instituição escolar moderna. As reflexões sobre os resultados desta pesquisa bibliográfica visam a melhor compreensão dos mecanismos de exercício do poder disciplinar, frequentemente, utilizados na Instituição Escolar e permitem inferir como esses mecanismos exercem o controle social, político e ideológico no contexto da uma sociedade como a atual, atravessada por interesses diversos e quase sempre contraditórios.
Tivemos como objetivo, neste artigo, analisar uma reportagem da Revista Veja, que investiga a questão da velhice. Para isso, utilizamo-nos dos pressupostos teóricos da Análise do Discurso de orientação francesa (AD), com o fito de analisar os possíveis sentidos presentes nos discursos que a imprensa veicula sobre a velhice na sociedade contemporânea. Assim, pudemos verificar que há uma representação de que só é velho quem quer. Na reportagem analisada, ao mesmo tempo em que se procura promover o idoso ideal, que se dispõe a ter uma vida ativa, acaba, também, por divulgar um sujeito marginalizado, inativo, ocioso, sem vez e voz.

Este artigo tem por objetivo apresentar alguns preceitos teóricos da Análise do Discurso de linha francesa (ADF), tais como discurso, sujeito e identidade, os quais são de suma relevância para se analisar os textos de nossa cultura. Em especial, para analisar as representações do professor nas cartas do Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD), as quais acompanham os livros didáticos para apresentar os guias, que direcionam o olhar do professor, quando se tem de fazer a escolha do livro didático nas escolas. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de caráter qualitativo com base nos pressupostos teóricos da Análise do Discurso de orientação francesa, com o recurso da revisão bibliográfica e análise discursiva das cartas de apresentação do Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD), em especial a carta de apresentação destinada ao ensino médio no ano de 2021. Sabemos que a Análise do Discurso é uma área do conhecimento heterogênea, levando em consideração o contexto sócio histórico ideológico de elaboração dessas cartas, visa maior compreensão das formações discursivas, da heterogeneidade, do jogo de imagens e dos diversos outros que constitui o discurso das Cartas do Livro Didático, destinadas ao professor. Assim sendo, concluímos que as cartas funcionam como um dispositivo institucional que marca um discurso autoritário, que busca controlar a representação do professor, mesmo sendo uma “simples” carta de apresentação do Guia, ali mesmo já tece a “falsa autonomia” que o docente tem ao escolher um livro didático.
Parte-se da concepção de que será no interior das atividades de leitura e produção de textos que a prática de análise linguística se efetivará. Assim sendo, fez-se um levantamento em textos acadêmicos, objetivando verificar as concepções de linguagem e os pressupostos teóricos que atravessam o termo análise linguística, além disso, verificou-se como um livro didático atual apropriou-se dessas concepções. Após análise do livro didático, constatamos algumas iniciativas de levar o aluno a refletir sobre os usos linguísticos, a analisar um texto levando em consideração a construção do sentido, a perceber as marcas linguísticas que caracterizam um gênero textual.
