Palavras-chave (Educação Ambiental, Educação Sanitária e amebíase) ABSTRACTThe proposal is for the purpose of suggesting activities related to environmental education and health education in public school, to contribute to the prevention of amebiasis, a disease that affects humans, caused by protozoa of the genus Entamoeba histolytica. Transmission occurs from person to person by food or water contaminated by the cysts of the parasite. The initial action is in the intestine causing dysentery, amoebic colitis and enterocolitis, may expand to other organs and tissues through the blood stream causing inflammation and necrosis. Amebiasis has worldwide geographic distribution, occurring mainly in developing countries with tropical and subtropical climate, where sanitation is inadequate and water supply is precarious. This aims to show that the school is a place conducive to the holistic development in Environmental Education and Health Education, his work is important to involve students, faculty and staff, so that this situation is modified from the acquisition of new habits.
