The functional dependence of the mean air temperature (AT) upon the following atmospheric elements was established: the mean monthly precipitation amount (PA), mean monthly relative air humidity (RAH), mean monthly air humidity deficit (AHD), mean monthly general nebulosity (GN) and the mean monthly solar radiation duration (SRD). Coefficients of the regressional equation were determined by methods of linear regression. The following multi-factor model was obtained: AT = -44.9 + 0.509 × RAH + 0.0228 × PA + 10.3 × ln(AHD) + 0.367 × GN + 0.0003 × SRD 2 . Pearsons coefficient of correlation R is 0.9608. It means that there is a strong linear relation among the observed variables. The value of the determination coefficient R 2 = 0.923 indicates that 92.3% of dispersion around the mean value can be explained by linear regression among variables. It was proved statistically that the regression is linear. The values of the mean monthly atmospheric pressure and the mean monthly maximum wind velocity being insignificant, they were excluded from the regressional equation. The model was proved to be adequate.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
