This paper acknowledges that a synergy between technology and education can break the chain of poverty worldwide and engender empowerment. This paper brilliantly outlines the manner in which contemporary technology is gradually rendering the traditional classroom extinct in favour of virtual classroom. The paper finally recommends that all educational authorities, across the globe, embrace educational technology for prompt and effective impartation of knowledge for sustainable socio-economic development.
