An optical methOd for charcterizing a moving airbOrne particle is discussed in this study . The meth (xl is based en Mie scaItering theory , and refractive indices are used as a paramets ∋r ofevalua "ng p 飢 icles ' s characteristic . Refractive indices are obtained by measuring a pair of scattering 垂 ntensities of a padicle at diffe 爬 nt angles . Itooncludes as follows : (1)An optimal pair of scattering angles is examined by a numerical analysis . (2)Anapparatus for the characterizaition of airbome pa 面 cles (CAPsystem)isdeveloped for the experirnent . (3>The appaIatus performance is evaluated by the experiment using PSL particles . The non − unifoml intensi ty of laser beam has an ef 「 ect on the changing intcnsity of scattered lighL (4)The refractive index of test PSL panicle is derived by the Mie analysis assuming the constant diameter. Key werds : airborne part ' cte , lights ' attering , charaCterization , 厂 q加 ctive index 浮遊 微 粒 子 ,光散乱 ,組成識別,屈折率
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
