According to the important position of DCT in image coding, the research of image retrieval performance based on DCT is advanced. In the paper, we take color descriptors of MPEG-7 as the color image feature, and acquire new image features through giving different weights to the different elected DCT coefficients, Using Euclidean distance as the similar distance measurement to retrieve color images in DCT. Then the relationship between the choice of weight and retrieval performance is studied by experiments, and moreover the retrieval conclusion is analyzed in detail. The result shows it can acquire relatively satisfactory outcome when selecting right weights of the elected DCT coefficients based on a concrete condition.
Current image retrieval methods use only one kind of image features, which can not describe image content completely. In this paper, an image retrieval method based on color and texture integration is proposed. Calculation of similarity for the individual features is normalized before color feature integration. In order to improve the precision of image retrieval, a relevance feedback mechanism is invoked. The experiment results show that the proposed method has an excellent retrieval performance.
This paper presents new theorems Stevens edge detection method based on cognitive psychology on. Firstly, based on the number of the image is decomposed into high-frequency and low-frequency information, and the high-frequency information extracted by subtracting the maximum number of images to the image after the filter, then the amount of high frequency information into psychological cognitive psychology based on Stevenss theorem. The algorithm suppression refined edge after the non-minimum, applications Pillar K-means algorithm to extract image edge. Experimental results show that: the brightness of the image is converted to the amount of psychological edge can better unify under different brightness values.
Somecolor quantization problems concerning quantization of a color image into a fewnumbers of colors are discussed. In the HSV color space that is the best visualidentity of people, H is uniform quantified, S and V is respectivelynon-uniform quantified.Aimed at the limitation of Euclidean distance failing to consider thesimilarity between colors in the process of retrieval, a color similaritymatrix is introduced.
