A conducting polymer-coated electrode is introduced as an electrode workable as both a reference electrode and a counter electrode in an organic phase. The first part is focused on the electrode reaction of the conducting polymer-coated electrode and strategies for preparation of the electrode. Electrode properties are reviewed based on author's experimental results in the second part. The third part is focused on application of the conducting polymer-coated electrode to the thin layer cell for voltammetry of ion transfer at the liquid-liquid interface.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
