Culture filtrates of Nectria radicicola Gerlach & Nilsson yielded
two products: a peptide fraction, "radicicolin",
and a phenolic substance, radicicol (monorden), C18H17ClO6.
Chemical and spectroscopic studies showed that radicicol
was a macrolide with structure (Ia).
Brefeldin A was isolated from filtrates of other
strains of the organism.
From the cumulated first chromatographic fractions of the methylene dichloride extract of the leaves of Digitalis lanata, there has been isolated tigogenin, digitoxigenin, 3-epidigitorigenin, and digifolein.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
