Environmental issues often get global attention due to increasing environmental damages as seen in global warming, environmental degradation and ozone depletion. By encouraging proenvironmental or green behaviour at workplace, it can encourage the employees to be more responsible in reducing environmental problems. Thus, the issue of employee green behaviour (EGB) has been a topic of interest among scholars in management. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between employee environmental knowledge and environmental attitude towards employee green behaviour at workplace. The data comprised responses from 108 employees that indicated a moderate level of green practices at work. The study found that there is no relationship exists between environmental knowledge (EK) and environmental attitude (EA) on employee green behaviour (EGB). Future recommendations on the practical implication to help encourage employee to be engaged with green behaviour at work were later discussed.
Supply chain integration are network links of an organisation or firm with its business partners such as customers and suppliers by integrating their relationships, functions and processes. Meanwhile as supply chains continue to replace individual firms as the economic engine for creating value during the twenty-first century, understanding the supply chain performance becomes increasingly important for both practitioners and researchers. Previous studies have addressed supply chain integration and supply chain performance in separate studies. This conceptual paper will explore the key role played by supply chain integration in the effort to succeed within a competitive business environment, and consequently enhance firm performance as well as supply chain performance. Furthermore, the proposed framework will be valuable to various environments due to its integration of prior research and literature. This study is among the pioneers in investigating and determining the conceptual relationship between supply chain performance and supply chain integration.
Employees" reaction to organization restructuring varies as some react positively towards change but others refuse to accept it. Those who react negatively may engage in counterproductive work behavior. Since the existing studies are scarce in addressing this issue especially during organization restructuring, the present study is meant to investigate the influence of interpersonal conflict, anomie and trust in management on employees" counterproductive work behavior. Data were collected from 215 nonmanagerial staff of a company offering maritime related services, which is undergoing restructuring exercise. Using a multiple regression analysis, it was found that trust in management and interpersonal conflicts negatively influence counterproductive work behavior while anomie or feeling helplessness or hopelessness positively influences counterproductive work behavior. The implications of the study are discussed in the paper. Contribution/Originality: This study contributes in the existing literature by providing empirical evidence on the role of trust in management, interpersonal conflict and anomie in influencing counterproductive work behavior.
