BACKGROUNDPostoperative sore throat is ranked by American Society of Anesthesiologists as eighth most important problem of current clinical anaesthesiology. This study is to evaluate whether preoperative gargling with ketamine reduce postoperative sore throat after endotracheal intubation when compared with gargling with saline.
