The main objective of the research is to make a comparative study among the five categories of stress a student of a tertiary level faces or is supposed to face based on the questionnaire designed by and make a categorical study for analysis of Academic Stress Scale among the students’ state of stress prevailing in that level of study in Bangladesh. A random sample of 44 students had been selected from different tertiary level institutions throughout the tertiary level institutions of Bangladesh to conduct the research. Among the 44 respondents, 23 were male whereas 21 were female respondents. A quantitative method has been used in gathering the data by the use of Ordinal Scale (ASS) and mixed methods had been used in analyzing the data. For the purpose of this study, questionnaires had been distributed to students who had been and were receiving tertiary education (the tertiary level student has been dignified as the students in the ranges from Honors First year to Honors Third year in Bangladesh). The responses were classified and stratified in order to measure frequency and then the findings were quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed to rate the level of stress the students feel in the tertiary level of Bangladesh.
Communication is the exchanging of information through speaking, writing and signals. It plays an important to our development; it is the dissemination of ideas, and information to persons. Cognition is our mental process in which we acquire knowledge and understanding, and this is done through our thoughts, our experiences, and our senses. Cultural differences involve what people’ believe how they behave, the language they speak, and their practices based on their ethnicity. Cross-cultural differences in cognition can be very effective to certain operations conducted by persons; however, it can also limit us based on our perspective. To gather information and to understand how culture affects cognition and the way we think, questionnaires, surveys and experiments were used. Questionnaires were administered to tertiary level students, surveys were administered to teachers and experiments were conducted among students from various culture and background. The experiments were centered on visualization, focus and critical thinking. The purpose of this study is to investigate if cultural differences affect the way we think, and this double-dissociation is discussed in terms of implications for different developmental trajectories, with different developmental sub-tasks in the different cultures.
This paper explores whether the college level educational institutions in Bangladesh ensure scopes enough to teach, learn and exercise morality behaviors from the part of the learners. The data were collected from the fifty participants of targeted population of a ‘X’ college of Bangladesh. A semi-structured questionnaire was used as data collection instrument and both qualitative and quantitative data were intended to receive. The sample was selected through snowball sampling procedure from the ‘Y’ department of ‘X’ college. ‘Y’ department was selected randomly. Then, data was analyzed on the basis of ratio and nominal scale to analyze the data.
This paper is a study on the compulsion of transformational leadership from the part of the principal of this era when the demography of the students are changing exponentially, when the globe is experiencing massive changes in methods and techniques in educational process but the institutions remain the same as its ethics and operational strategies. The time is eloping when an educational head earns praises due to their prominence and performance in managerial functioning. But this paper tends to focus on several persisting challenges in these educational institutions like huge gap between teacherstudent ratio, students' increasing technological oriented learning, teachers' lack of knowledge of multimedia class operation, girls' little rate of enrolment in higher level of education, early marriage of school going girls and ensuring quality education to girls as per the demand of SDG 4 by 2030. This paper fosters the idea that a transformational head of the institution can be successful in this chase of challenges as he involves everyone to activities in order to reach goal. He works with the other members as a team member and thus a challenge of an institution turns to be liability to all.
The popularity of social media has grown considerably over the past few years and has taken a foothold in society.This study examined the connection between extensive social media use and the way people view their bodies in relation to what is seen in the images and messages portrayed on social media. Emphasis is placed on social media and whether it has a negative impact on body image and if it leads to body dissatisfaction. A mixed method approach was taken to collect data on females residing in Tobago and how they perceive body image. Survey participation was both voluntary and anonymous. Participants were females above the age of 15. Additionally, focus groups were conducted among Tobago women ranging between ages 16-56 to further supplement the statistical data collected. The study and the data collected examined how social media influenced the way that women view themselves. The data collected and the research took into consideration how the participants were affected by their exposure to the various social media platforms and their messages. While the information gathered shows there is a correlation between social media and negative body image, there is no evidence to prove that social media has a direct impact on one's body image.
