This study empirically investigates factors predicting students' behavioral intentions towards the continuous use of mobile learning. Two baseline models namely the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) with the addition of habit as an exogenous construct were used for this purpose. The data were collected from 171 engineering undergraduates and analyzed based on structural equation modeling. The results suggest (1) Behavioral intention was positively and significantly influenced by mobile learning self-efficacy, attitude, and perceived usefulness; (2) Attitude was positively and significantly influenced by subjective norm, perceived usefulness, and mobile learning self-efficacy;(3) Mobile learning self-efficacy was only influenced by perceived ease of use and (4) Habit of using WhatsApp did not influence perceived usefulness nor perceived ease of use but had a positive and significant relationship with mobile learning self-efficacy. Nonlinear relationships were also observed between (1) Behavioral intention with perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and subjective norm (2) Habit with perceived usefulness and mobile learning self-efficacy. The nonlinear findings indicate that the relationships between these constructs, which were previously reported as linear, are prone to saturation and warrants further investigation. Our findings also stipulate a practical reference for higher educational institutions targeting to practice mobile learning for engineering undergraduates.

Previous studies revealed that many students cannot perform well when it comes to word problem-solving questions. There are various problem-solving strategies that can be applied to help students to overcome the problem. Visualisation techniques in learning have been used to help students enhance their conceptual understanding of the mathematical problem-solving and the use of bar model visualisation technique is one of the strategies. This study aims to investigate students' achievement in mathematical problem-solving after applying the Bar Model and to explore students' experiences while applying the technique. This study employed a preexperimental design of the quantitative research. There were 32 participants of year three students. The instrument used in this research consists of questions of pre-test and post-test and a semi-structured interview. Data were analysed using SPSS 20.0 software and thematic analysis. The test results showed that there is a significant difference in participants' mathematical problem-solving achievement. The analysis of semi-structured interview transcripts revealed that level of understanding and motivation influence students' performance. Findings of this study showed that students perform better after the implementation of the Bar Model in mathematical problem-solving. This study can provide an alternative or guidance for teachers to improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills.

The concept of Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is one of the highlighted aspects in producing human capital of high quality. However, the level of HOTS among students in Malaysia is still at a lower stage. Among the causes of this problem is the learning strategy used in classroom, which is less effective in creating and enhancing HOTS optimally. Therefore, the main focus in this study was to investigate the potential role of an inductive reasoning strategy using Geogebra in increasing the students’ level of HOTS. Besides, it also aimed to identify the relationship between HOTS and students’ inductive reasoning for the topic of Graphs of Functions II. The design of study was quasi-experimental which involved 94 form-four students from a secondary school in Johor. The sample of this study was divided into three groups: (1) Treatment Group 1 (inductive reasoning strategy using Geogebra); Treatment Group 2 (inductive reasoning strategy); and (3) a control group (conventional). The instrument of the study comprised a set of HOTS questions and a worksheet based on an inductive reasoning strategy using Geogebra. Using the Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA), it was found that the overall HOTS level of the students, which included applying, analysing, evaluating and creating skills, could be enhanced through this strategy. The findings also show that there was a positive relationship between HOTS and inductive reasoning. In conclusion, an inductive reasoning strategy can provide positive impacts on students’ HOTS in the topic of Graphs of Functions II

Mathematics anxiety is prevalent in Nigeria where students have a fear of the subject. Much research has been conducted on the level of mathematics anxiety, the differences between the genders, and its relationship with performance. However, little has been done on the factors for mathematics anxiety, and even less on peers' contribution towards mathematics anxiety. The photovoice approach was applied to capture peers' speech and behaviour, which can intensify or minimize mathematics anxiety. The findings revealed that peers' behaviour, such as poor students causing trouble and intelligent students dominating the lesson, and speech, such as using frightening and discouraging statements in the mathematics classroom, has a direct effect on intensifying mathematics anxiety. However, the findings also showed that peer behaviour, such as achievement of peers and group discussions, and speech, such as positive advice, also minimize mathematics anxiety among students. It can be concluded that peers in their day-today interaction can have an effect on students' mathematics anxiety.
