The problem of renovation of socio-cultural constants (values, norms and behavioral models) preserved in the national historical and cultural tradition is considered. By the renovation of a sociocultural constant, the authors understand the process and result of restoring its significance as one of the systemic elements of public discourse, associated with the transformation of its supporters into a factor that other participants in the social space must constantly take into account when making and implementing socially significant decisions. The diagnosis of the population's dispositions regarding the problem of renovation of socio-cultural constants was carried out on the basis of a sociological study conducted in the Belgorod region in 2021, which included a mass questionnaire survey of the population (n = 500), an expert interview (n = 30), 3 focus groups.
