The adsorption mechanism of Na + , Cl -and other impurities on the surface of basic nickel carbonate was clarifi ed by electric double layer model. Based on the mechanism, a new purifi cation method was studied. The method can be described as washing-drying-rewashing-drying. The experimental results indicate that the process is very effi cient to remove impurities adsorbed by the precipitate when using NiCl 2 and Na 2 CO 3 as the raw materials. The fi nished product's contents of sodium and chlorine are both less than 0.01 wt%.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
