The study aimed to investigate the therapeutic efcacy of sacroiliac joint (SIJ) blocks with triamcinolone acetonide in patients with SI Joint dysfunction. Numerous studies have demonstrated that SIJ blocks with corticosteroid provide long-term pain relief in seronegative spondyloarthropathy.We conducted a prospective observational study of patients at Chettinad Hospital and Research Institute. The above mentioned SIJ blocks were performed in 30 patients, and functional outcome was evaluated with NRS pain scale and Oswestry Disability Index. 30 patients (66.7%) experienced signicant pain reduction for more than 6 weeks; the overall mean duration of pain reduction in these responders was 36.8 _ 9.9 weeks. Humeral fractures, in the paediatric age group, have two peaks of incidence. It has a high incidence in babies below three years of age, and again also in children, above 10 years of age. The objective of our study, was to compare the most popular operative techniques for handling humeral diaphyseal fractures, in the paediatric age group, such as Plate Osteosynthesis (Locking Compression Plate), Elastic Stable Intramedullary Nailing System (ESIS), and the External Fixation devices (EF). This prospective study was conducted at Chettinad Hospital and Research Institute (CH&RI), Kelambakkam, from July 2017 to June 2020. A total of 15 patients were a part of this study, of which, 8 were males and 7 were females. The functional outcomes were assessed using the DASH, the Borberg and Morrey scoring system and the radiographic assessment was done using Stan's Radiographic Grading system, in all the three methods of treatment. The Follow up period was for a minimum of twelve months. The Broberg and Morrey Score points were 88.4 (74-95) for LCP, 80.67 for ESIS (70- 91) and 83.87 (80-87) for EF (p value>0.05). In the DASH score, the average was 19.2 in the LCP group, 21.17 and 21.10, respectively, in the ESIS and EF groups. Stan's Radiographic Grading showed Grade 2 to 3 fracture union status, in all the xation modalities of our study. The prudence of the surgeon, his surgical experience, the age of the patient, the geometry of the fracture and the nature of the humeral diaphyseal fracture, all needs to be carefully weighed, analyzed and on a case-to-case basis, the decision has to be taken, regarding which xation device is best suited for that very particular fracture. All the three modalities have been showcased to highlight their pros and cons, not with-standing the fact that, all the three modalities have faired superiorly in giving good to excellent result outcomes.

Introduction: The study that measures the existing elds of pressure between a surface that is used to support, and foot surface that is plantar, is called Pedobarography. It has important applications in the analysis of Gait and other Foot Health problems. The requirement of foot pressure measurement sensors, are that they must have mobility with limited cabling. Materials And Methods: This was a prospective study done as an outpatient procedure at Chettinad Hospital and Research Institute, Kelambakkam, Chengalpattu district of Tamil Nadu, from January 2019 to December 2019, for foot related ailments of outpatients presenting in the Department of Orthopaedics. The foot mapping was done by standard static mapping and gait analytical mapping systems. The ndings were recorded and analyzed by a computer and the patients were prescribed custom made foot-wear. Results: 945 cases were included in the study of which 575 patients had foot related orthopaedic pain pathology in the age group of 28 to 57years. Only for the 170 patients in the plantar fasciitis group was Hydrocortisone Injection administered. Remaining foot pathologies were treated with wax bath and ultrasound therapy. For the neurological foot pain segment comprising of 114 patients, neurologist consultation was sought, of which 36 cases turned out to be, due to lumbar canal stenosis and were surgically intervened upon. Of the 208 patients with Achilles tendonitis, 165 patients resolved with a heel and sole raise, with physiotherapy and the remaining 43 patient required spur and bursal surgical exploration and excision. Conclusion: Plantar foot pressure mapping, should be an integral part of the list of investigations, while trying to diagnose and treat the problems related to foot abnormalities and pathologies.
