В опытах на беспородных белых крысах было выявлено влияние аллоксан-индуцированного диабета на массу тела, тонкой кишки, гистоструктуру кишечника, а также на заключительную стадию гидролиза углеводов в тонкой кишке. Диабет был вызван однократной внутрибрюшинной инъекцией аллоксана моногидрата (170 мг/кг). Исследовали только тех аллоксанобработанных крыс, у которых уровень глюкозы в крови был в 3 раза больше, чем в контроле. Оказалось, что у крыс с аллоксан-индуцированным диабетом имело место уменьшение массы тела (на 23,1 %) и массы тонкой кишки (на 23,6 %). При этом нарушение гистологической структуры проявлялось как в мукозе, так и в серозе тонкой кишки. Это выражалось в уменьшении плотности миоцитов и эпителиоцитов стенки тонкой кишки, наличии эдемы слизистой, кровенаполнении капилляров, десквамации эпителиоциотов. Кроме того, у крыс с аллоксан-индуцированным диабетом на 10-й день после введения аллоксана моногидрата имело место увеличение активности кишечных мембраносвязанных дисахаридаз. Активность мальтазы, сахаразы и лактазы у крыс с аллоксан-индуцированным диабетом была соответственно на 25,6; 47,2 и 84,6 % больше по сравнению с крысами контрольной группы. Следовательно, аллоксан-индуцированный диабет приводит к уменьшению массы тела и тонкого кишечника крыс, нарушению гистоструктуры стенки тонкой кишки, а также увеличению специфической активности кишечных мальтазы, сахаразы и лактазы.
