Araştırmanın amacı sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının hukuk okuryazarlığı (HOY) ile ilgili becerilerini geliştirmektir. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden eylem araştırması modelinin kullanıldığı bu araştırmanın katılımcı grubunu Alparslan Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi sosyal bilgiler eğitimi programında öğrenim gören 20 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak odak grup görüşmesi, ön algı ve son algı formları, bireysel görüşmeler, öğrenci çalışma yaprakları, öğrenci ve araştırmacı günlükleri kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler içerik analizine tabi tutularak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının hukuk okuryazarlığına ilişkin farkındalıklarında önemli değişiklikler görülmüştür.
