Bu çalışmada temel eğitimde rehberlik ve psikolojik danışma hizmetlerinde yaşanan sorunların meta-sentez yöntemi ile değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda ‘psikolojik danışmada sorunlar’, ‘ilkokulda rehberlik hizmetleri’, ‘ilkokulda rehberlik hizmetleri sorunları’, ‘okul öncesinde rehberlik hizmetleri sorunları’, ‘okul öncesi eğitimde rehberlik ve psikolojik danışma hizmetleri sorunları’, ‘ortaokulda rehberlik ve psikolojik danışma hizmetleri sorunları’ ‘rehberlik ve psikolojik danışma hizmetleri’, ‘rehberlik servisi’, ‘rehberlik ve psikolojik danışma hizmetleri’, ‘temel eğitimde rehberlik sorunları’ anahtar sözcükleri ile Yükseköğretim Kurulu Ulusal Tez Merkezi, Google Akademik, TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM (Ulusal Akademik Ağ ve Bilgi Merkezi) Sosyal ve Beşeri Bilimler Veri Tabanında tarama yapılmıştır. Taramalar sonucunda araştırmaya dahil edilme kriterlerini karşılayan 27 makale, 8 yüksek lisans tezi ve 1 bildiri çalışmaya dahil edilmiştir. Çalışmada meta-sentez yöntemi kullanılmış ve elde edilen veriler tümevarımsal içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Yapılan incelemeler doğrultusunda ana temalar, temalar, kodlar ve sorunlara ilişkin frekans tabloları oluşturulmuştur. Araştırma sonuçlarına bakıldığında temel eğitimde rehberlik ve psikolojik danışma hizmetlerinde yaşanan sorunlar altı başlıkta ele alınmıştır. Elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda sistem sorunları, iş birliği ile ilgili sorunlar, rehberlik ve psikolojik danışma servisi görev ve sorumlulukları, rehberlik ve psikolojik danışma hizmetlerinin işlevi, psikolojik danışman kaynaklı sorunlar ve fiziki koşullar temaları başlığı altında değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular ışığında en çok frekansa sahip sorun alanının sistem sorunları olduğu, en az sorun alanının da fiziki koşullar olduğu saptanmıştır.
