Thanks to the advantages, i.e. high overload, high power density factor, wide range of rotational speed, low moment of inertia, as well as high torque-to-inertia ratio, PMSM AC motors are currently widely used in electric cars. The article presents a new method of PMSM control through the modification of the Clarke and Park transforms that enables to improve the efficiency of the mechatronic system due to the energy criterion. The article shows analytical tests confirming the possibility of maintaining the reactive power at zero level in the inverter-PMSM circuit. The analytical tests were supported by simulation tests with the use of the MATLAB-SIMULINK program.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
