In recent years, considerable attention has been paid to the research of dynamic response of long-span bridges with particular emphasis on seismic behavior. Cable-stayed and suspension bridges are the most popular types. Since long-span bridges have multi-supports and extreme lengths, due to the spatial variation effects, the ground motions at different supports might be non-uniform. A state-of-the-art update review of the response of long-span bridges subjected to non-uniform excitation is presented. The review mainly focuses on the theoretical aspects of non-uniform excitation, numerical studies, and experimental studies to verify some of the theoretical findings. In this paper, a review of the use of shake-table in experimental studies of long-span bridges is also presented. The non-uniform cases considered include a time delay with the same support excitations, multiple support excitations, and the combination of the first and the later. The results are discussed and summarized in comparison to the cases of uniform support excitation.
There is an immediate need for reinforced concrete (RC) construction to protect natural resources and environmental sustainability due to a gradual decline in natural resources and a problem in many waste disposal sites used. Reducing natural stones as aggregates in concrete using agriculture waste as aggregate to produce lightweight concrete is an effective way to reduce this problem. Lightweight concrete applications for structural design have long been applied because they significantly benefit design and construction costs. However, limited information about the structural performance, such as the bond strength, the compressive strength can be a barrier to applying lightweight concrete in the construction industry, as inadequate bond strength can result in structural deficiencies in RC structures. Therefore, to launch the use of lightweight concrete as a general material of construction, this research was conducted to review the current information on the mechanical behaviour of corroded lightweight concrete structures, while agricultural solid wastes were used as a lightweight aggregate in the concrete mixture.
Muhammadiyah cadre is very necessary to foster youth to bring the organization forward. The future of Muhammadiyah as a whole is closely related to the activities of the Muhammadiyah cadre movement at the Province, District, Sub-district, and Village levels. Sawit Muhammadiyah Sub-District Head (PCM) is a Muhammadiyah organization at the sub-district level located in Boyolali Area. The regeneration activities at PCM are very important things to do, one of which is by providing educational facilities for the Muhammadiyah Junior High School as a regeneration locomotive at sub-district level. Sawit Muhammadiyah Sub-District Head needs assistance and facilities to realize the plan to establish Junior High Schools and manage Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
