Synopsis : InthispaperthelooseningandcomingoutofarollerisconsideredbyusingFEanalysiswhenaceramicssleeveisshrinkingfittedtotwosteel shafts.Itshouldbenotedthatonlysmallshrinkfittingratiocanbeappliedfortheconnectionbecauseofthebrittlenessofceramics.However careshouldbetakenforcomingoutoftheshaftsduringrotationundersuchsmallshrinkfittingratio.Inthisstudythereforethefiniteelement analysis is applied to simulate this behavior. Then, the coming out behavior during rotation can be realized by the simulation where the rotationoftherollerisreplacedbytheshiftoftheloadatanintervaloftherotationangle.Undersmallershrinkfittingratiotheshaftcomesout, butunderlargershrinkfittingratiotheshaftdoesnot.Theeffectsofthemagnitudeoftheload,frictioncoefficient,andstiffnessoftheshaft are also discussed.
