This paper contains a description of tests including the simulation of the injection moulding of thin-walled products. The simulation was designed to analyse the potential impact of processing conditions and cooling conditions on the defects of thin-walled products of the body of the syringe. In order to obtain the correct results, the analysis was based on a simulation comparison with the data obtained after the injection mouldings were produced. Four cases were considered - parameters with reduced injection pressure and absence of pressure push, with a reduced temperature of the injection mould. The test results were analysed in conditions compliant with the recommendations of the production card and with the parameters optimised by computational algorithms of the computer programme. Simulations were carried out using the Simcon CadMould 3D-F programme. The paper describes the construction of a thin-walled body, which is the main segment of a medical instrument - a medical syringe. Also described in the paper are the process of injection of polymer materials and the characteristics of the production of medical syringes. In addition the computer programme software for the simulation of production processes was presented.
ABSTRACTThis paper contains an analysis of current knowledge about the reuse of rubber waste, especially post-consumer car tires, including waste management, recycling methods and practical applications of this material. The methods of reducing the amount of polymer waste are described, the materials and chemical constituents constituting the building blocks of the tires are discussed and the available methods of producing rubber recyclates are presented. In addition, the types of rubber waste after fragmentation were classified and examples of their use in industry were presented.
This paper presents the characteristics of the production of extrudate with axial-symmetrical construction, having a segmented construction wall. Examples of machine tools and devices for manufacturing products with segments and the construction characteristics of a single segment are presented. Methods of shaping the segment wall in forming sockets, characteristics and type of movement made by shaping elements in the process of extrusion in the process line are described. Exemplary results of experimental investigations of the displacement of geometric elements of a single segment and the influence of wall thickness on segment deformation at a given force and speed of deformation under laboratory conditions are presented.
In this paper we represent a study reporting the numerical simulation of small-diameter pipes extrusion process. Polypropylene and low density polyethylene were chosen as plastics and a selected transverse head as a tool in the simulations. The aim of the study is to examine the distribution of temperature in the individual sections of the bagasse and tools, in order to optimize the parameters and process flow extrusion and validate the implementation tools, by simulating the flow of plastic by the head.
This paper presents information on the methods of construction and selection of materials, for the manufacturing of a medical device – a syringe filter. The main scope of the research was numerical simulation made in order to optimize the injection process. This simulation comprised of two parts: the first in which the chosen optimal number and position of injection points on the surface, and a second with the chosen optimum wall thickness, using a pre-selected injection points.
