Piracy is a big threat to the original contents. This multi-model approach interleaves some frequency domain watermarking strategies to counteract shortcomings of one strategy by the advantages of other. The original image is divided into spatially disjoint blocks. Watermarking is a way of embedding a mark that hides information in a multimedia carrier. Major issues in Image watermarking are to increase the robustness visual attacks. Image The Proposed algorithm presents Hybrid Discrete wavelet transform and Discrete cosine transform based watermarking technique to obtain increased imperceptibility and robustness compared to DWT based watermarking technique. The idea of inserting embedding image in combined transform is based on fact that joint transform eliminates drawback of each other and secret information is hidden in High frequency area which signify the noise in image and characteristics of image is not changed.
Fingerprint authentication belongs to one of the oldest biometric systems. This paper defines a new approach for fingerprint recognition. In this paper only termination points of minutiae are used for authentication. This system matches only the fingerprint image with database image when there is 100 % match or more than 90 %. Finally, the neural network approach is applied for measurement of neural network performance. The false accept rate and false reject rate are also defined.
Abstract. Biometric is proved to be an exceptional tool for identifying an individual. Security of biometric template is the most challenging aspect of biometric identification system. Storing the biometric template in the database increases the chance of compromising it which may lead to misuse of the individual identity. This paper proposes a novel and computationally simpler approach to store a biometric sample in the form of template by using cryptographic salts. Use of Personal Image Identification (PII) makes the proposed algorithm more robust and adds another level of security. The saltcrypted templates are created and stored instead of storing the actual sample behaving as a fuzzy vault. The algorithm has been analytically proved computationally simple compared to the existing template security mechanisms. The fuzzy structure of saltcrypted template is entirely dependent on user interaction through PII. Actual template is not stored at any point of time which adds new dimension to the security and hence to individual identity.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
