Abstract:The aim of this essay is to analyze Adorno's critique of Heidegger's ontology. To do so, we use Heidegger's interpretation of Kant as leitmotiv. We seek to show that, for Adorno, to edify the fundamental ontology from Kant's philosophy is to misinterpret the latter. As such, we point to Adorno's philosophy as a possible way out of the problem of the need to ground philosophical discourse. This way out of the problem is based on considering the importance of art for the construction of universality in philosophy.
