La universidad se ha postulado como la base científica y educacional de las modificaciones y cambios sociales, generando nuevas oportunidades de aprendizaje, construyendo nuevos cimientos teóricos y prácticos incorporando la perspectiva de género. Objetivo: identificar la percepción que tiene el profesorado sobre la perspectiva de género y sobre la inclusión de esta asignatura en el currículo docente en el grado de Enfermería de la Universidad de La Laguna (ULL). Metodología: estudio observacional, de corte transversal, que se acompaña de un pilotaje/experiencia de intervención donde se exploran los intereses, conocimientos y la opinión del profesorado en incorporar la perspectiva de género en el currículo docente de Enfermería. Resultados: un 69,4% del profesorado encuestado percibe que en su área de trabajo existen diferencias en la salud entre hombres y mujeres que implican la necesidad de diferentes programas. Conclusiones: los resultados muestran aceptación en la implantación de la asignatura «Género y Salud» en el grado de Enfermería de la ULL. Los contenidos deben integrar los cuidados e incorporar la perspectiva de género en cada una de las esferas de la salud.
