A new method for spectrum sha-ring for a single operator is presented. One operator with its frequency band divided into three bands is assumed: one central band for the TDD mode and two more in the sides for the up and downlink of the FDD mode. The idea is to share resources between these bands, when required. Two different approaches are proposed: block-wise sharing approach, where a fixed block of frequencies can belong to either TDD or FDD, depending on the necessities; and tunable carrier frequency approach, where the exact bandwidth to be transferred is previously calculated. The fresh results give the industry and regulatory bodies a good reference for spectrum management schemes towards future IMT-A systems.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
