Gagal jantung adalah suatu keadaan ketika jantung tidak mampu mempertahankan sirkulasi yang cukup untuk kebutuhan tubuh, gagal jantung terjadi karena kondisi jantung yang terlalau lemah dalam memompa darah keseluruh tubuh untuk memenuhi kebutuhan oksigen dan nutrisi. Angka kematian akibat kegagalan jantung akibat penyakit umumnya masih cukup tinggi di seluruh dunia. Kekambuhan adalah peristiwa timbulnya lagi gejala-gejala yang sebelumnya sudah memperoleh kemajuan atau perbaikan. Kepatuhan terhadap program pengobatan memang harus muncul dari diri pasien sendiri. Keluarga memiliki peran penting dalam keberhasilan program pengobatan pasien. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan kekambuhan pasien gagal jantung di Poliklinik RSD dr. H. Soemarno Sosroatmodjo Tanjung Selor Kalimantan Utara. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan studi analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pasien dengan gagal jantung di Poliklinik RSD dr. H. Soemarno Sosroatmodjo Tanjung Selor Kalimantan Utara. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan besar sampel sebanyak 130 orang. Diperoleh hasil bahwa dari 130 responden, terdapat 73 responden (56,2%) mendapatkan dukungan yang baik dari keluarga, sisanya ada 57 responden (43,8%) kurang mendapatkan dukungan yang baik dari keluarga. Diperoleh hasil bahwa dari 130 responden gagal jantung terdapat 109 (83,8%) tidak mengalami kekambuhan dalam 3 bulan terakhir sisanya 21 (16,2%) mengalami kekambuhan (dirawat berulang dalam 3 bulan terakhir). Hasil uji statistik Chi-Square diperoleh nilai p=0,039. Ada hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan kekambuhan pasien gagal jantung di Poliklinik RSD dr. H. Soemarno Sosroatmodjo Tanjung Selor Kalimantan Utara.
