Sequential Amino-Claisen Rearrangement/Intramolecular 1,3-Dipolar Cycloaddition/Reductive Cleavage Approach to the Stereoselective Synthesis of cis-4-Hydroxy-2-aryl-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1(1H)-benzazepines

This sequence involves N-allylation of corresponding N-benzylanilines followed by amino-Claisen rearrangement, subsequent oxidation with in situ 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition affording isoxazolidines, and finally reductive cleavage of the isoxazolidinic N-O bond.
El desarrollo económico descontrolado y la sobreexplotación de los recursos naturales han aumentado los niveles de contaminación sobre el recurso hídrico a pesar que existen diferentes tecnologías para el tratamiento de residuos líquidos, uno de los más utilizados es el tratamiento primario avanzado, el cual consiste en la coagulación/floculación y sedimentación de materiales particulados presentes en el agua. Este tipo de tratamiento habitualmente se ejecuta haciendo uso de polielectrolitos sintetizados químicamente. En el presente trabajo se evaluó la eficiencia que tienen los coagulantes naturales extraídos de la semilla del aguacate y del mucílago del café en el tratamiento primario avanzado de aguas residuales, se determinó el desempeño de cada extracto en términos de reducción de color y turbiedad en el tratamiento de aguas residuales domésticas. Los resultados obtenidos señalan que el extracto de la semilla del aguacate da lugar al aumento tanto en turbiedad como en coloración, por su parte el mucílago del café permitió remover el 65,29% de la turbiedad, indicando que este compuesto puede servir como un coagulante preliminar o auxiliar en el proceso de tratamiento primario de aguas residuales.
IntroducciónEn los últimos años existe un creciente interés por el futuro de la humanidad desde el punto de vista de la protección del medio ambiente. Factores como nuevas posturas en sostenibilidad, avances en la nanotecnología y la crisis petrolera de las últimas décadas muestran una visión diferente en las tendencias para el aprovechamiento de los recursos naturales. Entre éstas, se encuentra una enfocada hacia la ciencia de los polímeros para desarrollar nuevos materiales a partir de recursos renovables en lugar de los tradicionales polímeros basados en fuentes fósiles que generan grandes cantidades de residuos no biodegradables y su disposición final se convierte en un grave problema [1-5], a pesar que existen programas de reciclaje [6][7][8]. Por ello, se hace necesario encontrar materiales preferentemente renovables, biodegradables e inofensivos para el medio ambiente.Según Peplow, "los polímeros han infiltrado casi todos los aspectos de la vida moderna desde la ropa, la pintura, el empaquetamiento de medicamentos para su liberación controlada hasta los materiales auto-curativos y para impresión tridimensional" [3]. Debido al uso generalizado, la producción y disposición de los polímeros obtenidos a partir de recursos renovables se convierten en una solución y en un proceso sostenible y sustentable. Actualmente, este campo se encuentra en expansión, siendo el foco de atención en varios estudios y sectores de aplicación, tales como: alimentos (envasado y empaquetamiento), agricultura y Resumen. La producción de plásticos a nivel mundial presenta cifras abrumadoras debido a que tienen aplicaciones en diferentes campos, desde la medicina hasta la industria de empaques. Uno de los problemas radica en que la materia prima para preparar esos plásticos proviene de fuentes fósiles, los principales responsables de las emisiones de dióxido de carbono a la atmósfera y después de usar esos materiales se desechan y tardan varios años en descomponerse. Otro problema está enfocado hacia la agricultura e incluye los procesos que generan desechos orgánicos como la industria azucarera y del café, que pueden contaminar el medio ambiente sin tratamiento adecuado. Cada vez cobra más importancia reemplazar los plásticos convencionales por biomateriales cuyos sustratos de partida provengan de fuentes renovables, que sean biodegradables y que puedan tener aplicaciones similares a los materiales convencionales. Por ello, en este artículo se destacan los últimos avances en el área de los materiales a partir de recursos renovables, en especial de los polímeros biobasados, de su biodegradabilidad y sus aplicaciones, para generar curiosidad y propiciar la búsqueda de alternativas de aprovechamiento de las fuentes renovables en la obtención de nuevos biopolímeros.
