El propósito de la investigación fue propiciar espacios de interacción mediante la aplicación de estrategias didácticas activas en el proceso de aprendizaje de los estudiantes de las carreras de Educación Inicial y Educación Básica de la Facultad de Educación, Ciencia y Tecnología (FECYT) de la Universidad Técnica del Norte (UTN). El enfoque de investigación es mixto, para llevar a cabo el enfoque cuantitativo se aplicó un cuestionario para la realización de un diagnóstico, mientras que para el enfoque cualitativo se realizó una revisión bibliográfica en el que se fundamentó la selección de una plataforma que cumpla con los criterios para aplicar la Metodología Análisis, Diseño, Desarrollo, Implantación y Evaluación (ADDIE) y estas fueron el Sistema Integrado de Informática de la Universidad Técnica del Norte (SIIU) y la plataforma digital Blakboard Learn, en los que se llevaron a cabo la investigación. Los resultados del diagnóstico inicial determinaron qué un 53% de docentes aplican técnicas activas y un 47% usan el trabajo cooperativo como técnica activa. Se concluyó que a partir de la aplicación de técnicas activas durante la formación de los futuros profesionales de Educación Inicial y Educación Básica se fomenta el uso las mismas con sus estudiantes.
La pertinencia pedagógica alrededor del juego influye en la práctica docente, puesto que el desconocimiento de este afecta en la calidad de su aplicación. Por ello el propósito principal del presente estudio fue analizar la calidad y pertinencia del empleo del juego en los Centros de Desarrollo Infantil (CDI) del sector urbano del cantón Antonio Ante con la finalidad de que se determine el nivel de conocimiento y efectividad de las estrategias que usan las docentes. La investigación parte de un enfoque mixto, los métodos fueron inductivo-deductivo, se aplicó la encuesta y la observación, cuyos instrumentos fueron: el cuestionario y una ficha de registro respectivamente, la muestra fue de 36 docentes y 510 niños de hasta 36 meses en el nivel de Educación Inicial. El juego no es considerado como el recurso didáctico más importante para el logro de destrezas en los niños.
