A study entitled “Performance of different varieties of broccoli (Brassica oleracea var. italica) under Prayagraj agro-climatic condition” was carried out at crop Vegetable Research Farm, Department of Horticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj (Allahabad), U. P. during academic session 2021-22. The experiment consists of   7 Varieties in 3 replications. The result showed that there were significant differences found among all the varieties. Growth parameters viz. plant height, plant spread, no. of leaves/plant and leaf area were significantly higher in V1(GREEN MAGIC) their respected values are 59.26cm, 65.77cm, 20.33 and 207.33cm² whereas minimum in V7 (WALTHAM) 55.58cm, 63.22cm, 18.11 and 146.55cm² respectively. Yield parameters viz. head diameter, net curd weight, total curd weight, curd yield /plot(kg) and curd yield /hectare (tonnes) were higher in V1(GREEN MAGIC) their respected values are 25.67cm, 517.69grams, 592.49grams, 3.92kg and 21.80tonnes whereas minimum in V7 (WALTHAM) 318.28grams, 375.58grams, 2.58kg and 14.39tonnes respectively. Regarding quality parameters viz. TSS and Vitamin-C Content were significantly higher in V1 (GREEN MAGIC) (8.20 0B and 82.12 mg/100 g).  And quality parameters of the crop were lower in V7 (WALTHAM). Further, it can be concluded that V1 (GREEN MAGIC) was the best Variety on the basis of growth, yield and quality parameters.

The present experiment was carried out during 2021-22 with an aim to study the different treatments of organic fertilizers on growth, yield and quality of Cauliflower and to work out with economics, in Central Horticulture Research Farm of Department of Horticulture, SHUATS,. The experiment was conducted in Randomized Block Design with 10 treatment replicated three times. The treatments were T1 FYM 100% (100:40:100), T2 Vermicompost (75%) + Poultry manure (25%), T3 Vermicompost (75%) + Goat manure (25%), T4 Vermicompost (50%) + Poultry manure (50%), T5 Vermicompost (50%) + Goat manure (50%), T6 Vermicompost (25%) + Poultry manure (75%), T7 Vermicompost (25%) + Goat manure (75%), T8 {Vermicompost + Poultry manure} (75%) + Goat manure (25%), T9{Vermicompost + Poultry manure} (50%) + Goat manure (50%), T10{Vermicompost + Poultry manure} (25%) + Goat manure (75%). From the present investigation it was concluded that treatment T5 Vermicompost (50%) + Goat manure (50%) was found best in the terms of Plant height (cm), Leaf Length (cm), Number of leaves per plant, Head size (cm), Head weight (g), Net weight of head per plot, Yield per plot (kg), TSS, Acidity (%),B:C Ratio.

An experiment was conducted to find out the best suitable genotypes of Sponge gourd in Prayagraj Agro-climatic conditions in the Vegetable Research Farm, Department of Horticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj (U.P.), during Zaid season of the year 2021. 22 genotypes including one check genotypes which are procured from Indian Institute of Vegetable Research center(IIVR),are evaluated and the experiment was laid out in randomized block design with three replications. The observations were recorded on growth, yield and Fruit quality. The results revealed that among all the IET/2020 SPGVAR-7 and AVT I/2019 SPGVAR-3 performed well in earliness parameters viz. Days to germination (6.69days),Days to first male flowering (51.533days), appearance of first male flower on node(3.6) and appearance of first female flower on node (7.81). In terms of vine Length maximum was recorded in AVT I/2019 SPGVAR 4 (4.9m). Fruit length was maximum in IET 2020 SPGVAR 3(25.7cm), Fruit Diameter was maximum in AVT I/2019 SPGVAR-5 (3.24cm). Weight of 5 fruits was maximum in IET/2020 SPGVAR-6 (129.4 grams). And among all the genotypes IET/2020 SPGVAR-4 performed will in yield parameters viz. Yield per plant (1.48kg) and yield per hectare (66.88 Quintals/hac).

This study was conducted in the Horticulture Research Farm, Department of Horticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj (UP) from October 2021- March 2022 to investigate the Effect of Fertigation Intervals on Plant Growth and Flower Yield of Multiflora Chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum morifolium) cv. Branfountain Purple. The experiment was laid out in RBD with nine treatments which were replicated thrice. The results revealed that treatment T9 (19:19:19 NPK/m2(4.6 g) @ 8 days interval)) + foliage spray of 0.2% EDTA Chelated micronutrient mixture) – performed the best in terms of  plant height(cm) (21), number of branches (53), plant spread (cm) (27), Number of leaves  (403), number of flowers per plant (75), chlorophyll content of leaves (SPAD value) (31.9), days to first flowering (days) (130), days 50% flowering (days) (143), flowering duration (days) (185), flower diameter (cm) (4.0), individual flower weight (g) (10), flower yield per plant (g/plant) (0.78). Therefore, the treatment T9 (T5+ foliage spray of 0.2% EDTA Chelated micronutrient mixture) was the best when compared to other treatments. Overall results revealed that the application of fertilizer through fertigation as T9 (19:19:19 NPK/m2 (4.6 g) @ 8 days interval)) + foliage spray of 0.2% EDTA Chelated micronutrient mixture) proved to be better for different growth and flower yield of multiflora chrysanthemum.

The present experiment was carried out during Zaid 2021. In order to study the “Effect of Naphthalene Acetic Acid and Indole Acetic Acid on Growth, Yield and Quality of Muskmelon (Cucumis melo. L). The trail was conducted at Biotechnology polyhouse, Department of Horticulture, Naini Agriculture Institute and Prayagraj. The foliar spray two growth regulators like Naphthalene Acetic Acid and Indole Acetic Acid were spray separately at different concentration (NAA @10ppm, 20ppm, 30 ppm, 40 ppm, 50 ppm, 60 ppm, 70 ppm, 80 ppm. IAA @ 100 ppm, 200 ppm, 300 ppm, 400 ppm, 500 ppm, 600 ppm, 700 ppm, 800 ppm. The result revealed among all the treatments foliar application of NAA (80 ppm) is significantly gave positive impact on growth, yield and quality parameters. i.e. Vine length (153.96 cm), number of days for 1st male flower (33.6 Days), No.  of days for 1st female flower (38.83 Days), No. of Node at which 1st Male flower appears ( 4 . 1 ), No. of Node at  which 1st Female flower appears ( 5 . 83) No. of Male flowers (207.33), No. of Female flowers(5.3) fruits per   plant (3), diameter of the fruit (22.53 cm), length of the fruit(13.4cm), fruit yield per plant (1.4 kg), fruit yield per hectare (12.46 t), total soluble solids (11.30 Brix°), gross returns (3,73,800 Rs/ha), net returns (2,39,844 Rs/ha) and Benefit: cost ratio (2.79) were obtained among all other treatments with foliar application of NAA @80 ppm compared to other treatments.
