We present the Selection Recognition Agent (SRA). a personal computer application which recognizes meaningful words and phrasesin text, and enables useful operations on them.The SRA includes six recognition modules for geographic names, dates, email addresses, phone numbers, Usenet newsgroup name components, and URLS, as well as a module that enables useful operations on text in general. The SRA runs on Microsoft Windows 95 and Windows NT* and is currently available free from Intel's home page (http://www.intel.com).
