O presente artigo busca entender melhor como o origami foi inserido nas salas de aula e nas galerias de arte para depois se tornar um importante paradigma de inovação tecnológica, especialmente dentro da sustentabilidade. Para tal é feito uma revisão histórica baseada na trajetória de três artistas: Josef Albers, Ronald Resch e Lygia Clark. Investigando a evolução profissional de cada um, nota-se que muitos trabalhos profissionais e pesquisas multidisciplinares são inspirados nessas figuras modernas. Estudando aspectos apontados inicialmente pelos três artistas direta ou indiretamente, são analisados os componentes do origami como dobras-vale, dobras-montanha, crease pattern e o design do origami adaptado. Para complementação do estudo, é feito uma aplicação experimental de um protótipo de bolsa reaproveitando materiais usados; o objetivo é a comprovação prática das técnicas do origami levantadas no estudo, unindo o princípio das dobras com sustentabilidade.
Este estudo analisa o design de seis Origami Tessellations, levando em conta seus níveis de compactação, complexidade estrutural e de reprodução por meio de seus crease patterns ou padrão de dobras. Foram construídos seis padrões geométricos em Origami com o propósito de compreender as principais características projetuais de cada crease pattern, os diferentes níveis de economia de espaço por meio da compactação estrutural, suas limitações e possibilidades projetuais. A contribuição para a diversidade de pesquisas do Design Adaptado do Origami, bem como os pontos positivos e negativos de cada padrão de dobras são discutidos.
O origami é uma arte japonesa que consiste em modificar uma folha plana de papel em figuras bi ou tridimensionais apenas com dobras. No momento atual essa arte está sendo incorporada em diversas tecnologias na área do design de produtos, arquitetura, moda, engenharia espacial e ciência de materiais, mas é na área médica que o origami está ganhando especial atenção dos pesquisadores, pois seus métodos de design têm apresentado interessantes inovações em soluções de formas e estruturas. O presente artigo é uma revisão sobre design de origami aplicado à área médica, analisando as características de algumas pesquisas aplicadas, como os tipos de materiais, processos de fabricação, as necessidades e demandas de cada área da saúde, e quais são as vantagens estratégicas das dobraduras em termos de melhorias nos custos, processos de manufatura, usabilidade, e sustentabilidade.
Esse artigo analisa a arte contemporânea em comunhão com as técnicas criativas do corpo e do origami, gerando o entrelaçamento entre as artes manuais e corporais e a tecnologia a elas aplicada. Em um primeiro momento, é analisado o cenário contemporâneo, as novas tecnologias e os caminhos da sociedade atual. Em um segundo momento, considera-se o comportamento do corpo e do origami inseridos dentro desse novo contexto. Por fim, são analisados alguns projetos que utilizam como principal alicerce a performance corporal e as dobraduras japonesas.
A presente pesquisa busca entender o potencial do processo criativo do origami através do método de exploração experimental e através da análise de alguns projetos desenvolvidos em diferentes áreas. São estudadas as trajetórias acadêmicas de Josef Albers e Ron Resch e seus métodos focados na prática da dobra. Dentro do design aplicado, é feito uma análise em cima dos projetos Origami Heart Stent, Ori-Revo e Evolution Door.
