The organic waste treatment process using Black Soldier Larvae (BSF) produces liquid biofertilizer (LB) that contains functional microbes and macro and micronutrients that potentially can stimulate plant growth. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of liquid biofertilizer from waste bioconversion by BSF on the growth of arabica coffee seedlings. The experiment used a randomized block design with 7 treatments, which consisted of: no treatment (control), 1.5% LB spraying, 3% LB spraying, 6% LB spraying, 3% LB watering, 6% LB watering, and 12% LB watering, with 4 replications and each replication containing 10 plants. All treatments were given once a month, to the 1-month-old seedlings. The test results showed that the application of LB significantly increased stem diameter and the number of leaves of Arabica coffee seedlings 4 months after application (MAA). In seedlings aged 4 MAA, spraying 6% LB resulted in the highest increase in stem diameter, while the highest number of leaves was obtained from watering 3% LB. Additionally, in 12 months old seedlings, Arabica coffee's highest fresh shoot weight was obtained by spraying 1.5% LB compared to other treatments.
<p>Makadamia merupakan tanaman introduksi yang belum banyak dikembangkan di Indonesia, oleh karena itu perlu digali informasi tentang suplai hara N, P, dan K yang tepat mulai dari perbenihan sampai tanaman berproduksi dalam menunjang pertumbuhan dan produktivitas tanaman yang optimal pada tanah suboptimal di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dosis pupuk N, P, dan K yang optimal untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan benih makadamia. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan perlakuan 5 kombinasi dosis pupuk N, P, dan K yaitu: P1 (tanpa pupuk/kontrol), P2 (1,09 g Urea + 1,39 g SP36 + 0,84 g KCl)/benih, P3 (2,18 g Urea + 2,78 g SP36 + 1,67 g KCl)/benih, P4 (5,44 g Urea + 6,95 g SP36 + 4,17 g KCl)/benih dan P5 (8,15 g Urea + 10,42 g SP36 + 6,25 g KCl)/benih, dengan empat kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh nyata perlakuan terhadap pertambahan tinggi benih sampai umur 24 minggu setelah aplikasi (MSA) namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertambahan diameter batang dan jumlah daun, serta klorofil daun. Dosis N, P, dan K pada perlakuan P3 menghasilkan pertambahan tinggi benih terbaik, menunjukkan dosis tersebut optimum untuk pertumbuhan benih makadamia sampai umur 13 bulan. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat diarahkan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan pemupukan N, P, dan K pada benih makadamia di atas umur 13 bulan sampai produksi pada tanah masam di Indonesia.</p>
